I used the Random Recipes mod to randomize all the item recipes in Satisfactory! Nuclear waste could make super computers, copper ore could make iron ingots; who knows! All I know is I super regret ever doing this (you'll see why).

Definitely a troll mode... but with some sanity checks to keep the randomization from being entirely terrible, i could see it being fun.

I’m sure someone has said this already but when you made coal power you looked at the water consumption rate and not the coal consumption rate. I’m pretty sure coal plants use 15 coal/minute so you could have made 12 coal plants instead of 4.

Oh, I know that mod :D I once had a video on the startpage of a dude playing through the entire game with this, very entertaining stuff Edit: oh wow, you got way luckier with your receipes^^ Edit2: in his playthrough, I think alternates were also randomized... (oh, they also are for kibitz, nice,would have been to easy otherwise^^)

actually if you watch again. the unlocked recipes are random but the preview is not updated to reflect this. See timestamp 17:00 when he picks "biocoal" but that recipe now somehow requires copper sheets instead of biomass

to save your sanity when hand crafting you can jank it out by holding space and drag and drop an item in your inventory into another spot and let go of space. then it will keep crafting away and you can walk away and let it do its thing until you are out of ingredients.

The randomize is a bit more fun when you skip the prologue. The more you have unlocked the more options the randomizer has to pick from for recipe. Which is why you also got SUPER luckily with the 2 with no costs and so many items also cost wire instead of other things.

you can tell that kibz only plays lategame in how he just entirely forgot that there are biomass burners built in to the hub so you couldve used that to begin automating copper earlier, circumventing a lot of manual wire crafting

ooh that's cool! I love the idea of needing more than one belt with the same parts to keep up with the demand. Would be interesting if there was a manufacturer recipe that took over 780 parts per minute, but only has 3 ingredients, so you can use 2 ports for the same ingredient. Also with how hard it is to get concrete, I really wish in games like satisfactory and factorio machines were more expensive. Like, at least 10 times as expensive, but the stack size should be 10 times bigger too, so you don't have problems with the inventory, but the main focus is to increase the production so you can expand quicker

Go try Transport Fever 2 - the "concrete" (stone -> brick) is typically quite expensive in terms of transition time due to distance between industries and quarries

I guess there needs to be SOME system to this because otherwise you’d need like a turbomotor recipe for an iron ingot, so I assume everything is at least tier-corrected (for example copper screws, concrete iron plates, or then modular frame-oscilators etc

Coal generators consume 15 coal per minute! And 45 water. Not 45 coal! You can triple what you just made.

16:10 It's 45 water per minute, not coal. You actually only need 15 coal, but it doesn't tell you that because the burn time is different for compacted coal.

Random mod can be so Random it locks away aluminum in some runs. Hdds do randomize things so finding them becomes critical
