@@Izunundara This is literally how I FINALLY got my Focus achievement: Act 1, early Creative AI, in a fight vs a slime, with 2 frost which block me 10 every turn so the slime doesn't damage me, I farmed powers until I had enough Biased Cognitions to get to 25 focus (I promptly lost that run the next fight because I was at 4 hp trying to get the achievement, but who cares)

My favorite thing about go for the eyes is using it to predict attacks whenever I grab the dome relic that hides enemies intentions. Has saved my life a couple times

I personally believe that overclock can be pretty epic for a number of reasons. It works really well in hallway fights, where you aren't going to cycle your deck as many times and draw into those burns. It also synergizes with all for one, so you can get more value out of those turbos you bring back into your hand. So while I'd only ever take one, I do think overclock deserves at least C tier, frostprime, you absolute cretin. Love the content, King Kong would win

Streamline isn't very good, but there's absolutely no universe in which it's worse than Scrape or Strike. It's pickable in act 1 when you need front-loaded damage, and you can play it multiple times even in short fights with stuff like Echo Form, Hologram, and Rebound.

You clearly have Fusion wrong. The power of the Dark Side a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. And by Dark Side I mean a small deck with Fusion, and by unnatural I mean infinite. Have a plasma orb? Coolheaded+, Dualcast+, Recursion+ and Compile Driver - all commons or starter you're likely to have or get - equals infinite damage that can go through a 2 damage Beat of Death. (You don't necessarily need Fusion for this - Nuclear Battery can work too.) Can struggle with Heart due to statuses, unless you have Calipers or Med Kit. Have Skim, Dualcast+ and Hologram+ with a Fusion? Infinite Block (even though Beat of Death 1). Upgrade the Fusion to get infinite Energy for a Tempest infinite damage, or upgrade the Skim to get infinite redraw of an extra card every cycle for a Claw infinite damage. Or upgrade both Skim and Fusion and win with literally any damage dealing card, or get infinite Block through Beat of Death 2. (Recycle+ is highly recommended with Skim+ for resilience against Status cards.) I tend to play Defect a lot more combo-ey, with more than my share of small deck Claw builds, but when the Claws aren't showing Fusion is my alternative. Actually, it's more accurate to say Claw is my alternative to Fusion - I only need one Fusion to go infinite. I'd put Fusion ahead of Claw in Claw tier - so literally the best Defect card period. The only instance I'm not picking it is if I already have one.

The only one I don't agree on is cretive AI. My pp gets really big and cooky when I see it... I mean... it is true that I mostly won't take it because it would just be a wound. But when I do have a deck in which it works... oh boy does it carry the run. You have one echo form and then you play creative ai, which then gives you another echo form... and you now have 3 echo forms... dood... badonkers. A tier for me, just for the hornyness it provides. my new defect jam is barrage + pen nib , nice to also have a sweeping beam in the deck too if you can pull it off with akabeko (a little tricky with barrage as you need to get those orbs before your first attack) its also phenomenal ... but you can always wind up pen nib on a fight thats already over, or use defect's draw and defense to try and delay that first attack

Am I missing something about Scrape? Works well with Snecko Eye. It also feels like a good way to draw a bunch of Claws. Stack your draws with Rebound and scrape them back, then play your Claws again. Plus adding stuff to your discard pile can be a good thing if you have Holograms in hand. Plus when you get to a part where all that's left in your draw pile is garbage, you Hologram for a Scrape to clear it and get a reshuffle. Is it garbage in most decks that aren't Claw decks? Probably. But it's got a niche and surely things that have a niche don't belong in F tier.

Well "claw decks" whatever that might be, are garbage by default. Defect is at it's best having focus to scale your frost orbs for block and then dealing damage with lightning/dark orbs. Scrape is horrible in that type of seck.

Echo form saved my life so many times. I would use echo form so many times and ways that were unique. Being able to play high damage exhausted cards twice or being able to put two glaciers out for the cost of one or using two focus cards can change the game. Sometimes I would Have three going on at once having a high draw and getting rid of the eternal would make it where I would have opportunities to play this card here and there and eventually once I had it it was almost a for sure win. Getting this card early on will kill you though you have to be able to wait till you have a high draw and extra energy to spare. Using echo form on buffer a couple times means you don't even have to worry about defense

The "powers" deck is my absolute favorite deck to play in slay the spire. Get 1 or more storms, an upgrade heat sink, and a mummified hand, and you've got a party. especially it you bottle the heat sink. It's why I probably overrate white noise which under those conditions and upgrade is a 0 cost draw 2 channel 1 or more lightning, then make another card cost 0. just an overwhelming amount of value!

some of these are hard to evaluate in my opinion. like chill. you see it as only 2 blocks, but a channeled frost is worth much more than that. also you can combo it with capacitor,yes. but also when you dont obtain additional orb slots, you can take more advantage of evoking them - ergo more block. since most battles dont last too many turns anyways to stack up slots, and fill them up sometimes.

In slay the spire there are three types of cards; attacks, skills and powers. Defrag is a powers card and as with all powers in the game, no matter what character youre playing with, they are one use only cards. Essentially they all exhaust after you use them but they dont go into your exhaust pile, they instead get added to your characters status effects chart as a buff which then lasts for the rest of the fight

Creative AI in D-Tier is outlandish

I will consistently advocate for taking at least one Double Energy card and upgrading it. Instant A-Tier. Zero cost, doubles 3 base mana to 6. EZ Clap.

Boot sequence in itself is pog. There is absolutely no excuse to give it less than a tier. I would run boot sequence in a lot of decks and it’ll just make the deck better. edit: While creative ai is super niche, it is arguably the best of the noob trap cards. It opens up a secondary win condition that does nothing but good things for the defect no matter the build. The 3 cost is steep, but the defect had tools to make it viable (unlike ironclad).

Problem in, most difficult fights (act 4 elites and The Heart) don't attack you for that much turn 1, and arguably the act 3 bosses do not either (time eater the only one that can attack for like 32). So it kinda gets in the way in those fights. It's an anchor that draws you 1 less card on turn one, basically. If you have good card draw or a bottled seek, sure take it.

I use aggregate all the time. And I found that it's good for playing the cards you have, but if you don't have draw, it is a wasted card to have early game.

Aggregate's great if you have Runic Pyramid, but if you don't then it might as well say "gain a random amount of energy between -1 and 3"

For me I'd say I'm most excited seeing Electro Dynamics, Echo Form and Turbo lmao. I think Turbo is such a busted card early and late

My man did Chaos dirty. Chaos is cracked, easily A tier. The value, even if random, is just insane. 2 orbs of ANY type for 1 mana is value and the card will routinely evoke two things on top of that. I also find it funny that compile driver is in S tier (rightfully so) yet Chaos, which makes compile driver even more insane, is in D. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Chaos+ is pretty solid. But Chaos- is dogwater, and Chaos+ honestly isn't even so good that I'm willing to pick a Chaos- and spend a fire on it unless I have almost no priority upgrades and am desperate for a card that fills my orb slots.
