I'm always surprised that the iconic falcons didn't have more sets! They made such a big impact with such a little lineup, it's crazy!

I think part of the reason is that Black Falcons minifigs were included in so many other epic Lions and Black Knights sets. So it felt like they were more present.

The yellow and black tudor wall is what makes it iconic! I love the purity and simplicity of the old style sets, really wish we got a full wave of castle again!

When I was a kid, I got lucky in that my parents considered lego to be an educational toy. Those modular-ish set designs with the pin locks were a wonderful thing for a kid. I usually linked all of my sets together, regardless of faction, pretending it was the walls of a big city, and the various factions were the retinues of the noble families... also the black falcons fortress was the most awesome castle ever to me when it came out.

I just wish the medieval blacksmith went better with the 3in1... the castle is just so sad compared to it... but maybe the blacksmith is making bank being the only one who can supply them with weapons... Lion knights are coming!!

Solid review of my favorite Lego faction ever. I will say that am not a fan of the newest sets. The Creator 3 in 1 should have used light bley and and included more figs and the Blacksmith's shop, while objectively the nicest set of them all is just too big, has oversize rooftiles, and seems more like the house of a well off merchant. The older castles and modular wall sets are where the real magic is.

the build for the new black falcons castle is miles better than the 80s ones. I know at the time, they were pretty good. But being realistic, the newer to older black falcon sets are incomparable. The other set having 2 more minifigures can't make it better.

I agree that the new castle's build is LEAGUES better. It's kind of impossible to fairly compare sets with a 40 year age difference.

My favorite black falcon set is medieval blacksmith! I don’t like how some of the black falcons have black helmets in other sets. I prefer silver helmets on my black falcons!

Silver looks horrible imo, it doesn’t fit their outfit and vibe at all. Silvers helmets make them look plain and boring

This theme is good when u look at the minifigures, but I feel like if you exclude the new sets, this theme is very very empty and basic when it comes to builds. I feel like Royal knights is very underrated as while they weren't unique as a faction, their builds far outshined any others in lego castle beforehand.

I think that the royal knights have a few really good builds but their figures are some of the worst. In my opinion the best Classic Castle faction build-wise has to be the black knights. The sea serpent and their two cast les are just perfect.

Tho I think the castle from royal knights was better than the one in Black knights, due to having so much more stuff to do, like having a throne room, prison, and lots of different play features. It has everything the old black knights castle had and more imo

We need one to be at base level 😂 I agree that blacksmith is a S tier set, but that could have had any other knight faction in it. Right? You still a top G though, all the best.

I honestly can't get over the fact that they included a pirate in the creator set, that was so lazy and disrespectful and really left a sour taste in my mouth. You should do a ranking for the Lion Knights and all other factions.

Yeah the pirate was an odd choice tbh. I plan on making a video for each faction starting from with the falcons and working my way to the modern era. The lions will likely be next
