I ranked EVERY Pack for The Sims 4 (2023)

Get to Work and Island Living both need refreshes to flesh out their occults, because why do the game pack occults have skills and powers and stuff and mermaids and aliens do not, despite coming with expansions. 😭 (and imo being as iconic as they are to sims lore, aliens should have been base game)

Last few packs had too many rabbit holes for my taste. The ranch expansion should have been part of cottage living. Growing together should have been part of the base game. And for rent should have been part of city living...

I agree that EA messed up with Seasons, Wedding Stories, and Dine Out. I wish they would fix the glitches and make Seasons Holidays instead, but other than that, the packs are good. Happy holidays and New Year! ❤

First off, I love how you approached this list. You were somehow able to find a balance between your own feelings and looking objectively (which can be difficult to do). I like that you gave reasons and explained why you put packs in particular levels. And here's the key thing: I disagree with several of your opinions. But, you explained why and didn't contradict yourself. It's your list, and you ranked them based on your gameplay. But while doing so, listed out reasons, which depending upon how a person plays, can actually help a person decide if that particular point is positive or negative. I personally love Jungle Adventure... but you gave some reason as to why you placed it lower. Due to your approach, I could not dislike your video. Great job! 👍 for this video, and you gained a subscriber. Not because I agree with your opinions, but because of the way you presented everything... you aren't like several other Sims channels (which I shall not name... but I could if you pry! Haha)... that constantly contradict themselves and then arbitrarily place packs. My preferences tend to lean toward more rags to riches gameplay. With a more rustic, country, Industrial or grungy style... so packs that fit those aesthetics will naturally rank higher with me. However, I have not bought Eco Lifestyle on principle: the update for that pack brought so many glitches and lag that simply wasn't there before. Do I want dumpsters? Windmills? Yes and yes... though why didn't we get a more rustic windmill with Cottage Living? 🤔 welp, I'm rambling, so I better head out. Sorry for the lengthy comment, but I do hope it helps with the algorithm for you.

Omg honestly same! I agree with a lot if not all your opinions! Seasons should have not been under a pay wall, same with growing together. -For rent also, the fact that we can’t have rentals on vacation lots makes me think we are gonna see a resort type of expansion pack that focuses maybe on hotels but again, why not in the for rent pack? -The highschool years would’ve been a lot better if it was about school overall not just high school, a lost chance to add a phase between the children and teens. -I very much hate the fact that the mermaids aren’t as legit as vampires or ware wolves! I hope they make a game pack for mermaids or something (highly doubtful) Controversial opinion but kits are a major L, I dont buy them, don’t think will ever cuz even with a discount, with a little more I can get stuff pack so like, literally never.

oooooh yes i think a resort/hotel pack is probably in our future!! and i hope maybe they'd refresh island living with more for mermaids but i'm doubtful of that too 😫

I loved your rankings and I agreed with most all of them. It’s not even that some people arent into Star Wars, sims is mostly like 15-25 year old girls and most of us DO NOT like Star Wars 😂. Terrible idea! Nice to see where you put Moschino I agree!

Well, I'm a 35 year old woman. And there are a lot of people around my age playing The Sims since we were teenagers. I love the Star Wars saga. But it's true, there aren't enough fans playing The Sims 4 for a pack entirely dedicated to that saga. Anyway, I didn't buy the pack, because I heard it was poorly made, they say the gameplay is boring and repetitive.

Thank you for pointing out the outsider POV of jungle adventure! that's been my #1 problem with the pack so I actually downloaded a mod to make it function like any residential world. Now I can actually have sims grow up in that world and then go on to study their own culture to become archaeologists! Because of that mod it's become my favorite pack

After having to start my sims folder fresh after not bringing it with getting a new pc my cc has become slim to none. I’m only using cc lashes and skin overlays and everything else is only from the game itself and it’s a nice change since when I had a 90gig cc folder I barley used any of it

23:00 I wasnt a horse girly either but I totally love horse ranch. the build buy is wonderful. the horses are so fun! I love building stables for some reason. it's just a great pack

I personally like some of the star wars build items but I would have preferred jedis and siths to be occults, on top of that no the force gameplay, I am definitely happy I did not pay full price for it I only paid 9.99 for it , but gameplay could be way better, I would be so down to replace the star wars with fairies. p.s this is my personal opinion

4:43 My absolute favorite thing about Spooky Stuff is the carpet with the chevrons. It is one of the only carpets in the game that is good for a kids carpet. I think Pastel Pop Kit is the only other pack with cute carpets for kids. Did I buy the pack for that carpet? No. It is probably my most used item however.

I hear what you’re saying about for rent pack. That the multi lots have to be for rent only? Other wise I would get it because so many large lots on the others could use more than one household on the lot but don’t. But I’m not really interested in the game play of for rent …

thank you so much for this, my gf said i can choose 2 or 3 expansion packs and i was so stressed cuz i really want something useful. at first i wasnt even thinking buying them but i dont want to do it illegally cuz im worried im gonna get banned. anyway if someone sees this can you guys tell me if city living, island living and discover university actually worth it for first packs? I recommend CD Keys for buying expansions! It's like a "grey market" because they use currency exchange rates to buy and resell game codes, but I've bought many games and packs from them and have never had an issue with downloading the codes from EA and steam 😊

If you live on campus discover universities absolutely worth it. Go to work is good if you like the careers and city living has a decent amount to do.

the reason it says 2023 is because it includes all packs up through 2023! i don't want to misrepresent what the video includes since it doesn't include anything released in 2024 :)
