Legal action ii was robbed in this. Try a surplus roll. Surplus completly negates the slow handling and reload normally associated with 340's and pushes the stability in the 90's. Plus the super clean model and sight.

im in complete agreement on juju. its been my favorite pulse/exotic since d1, everything about it felt amazing to use. pve and pvp. in d2, its been lacking in both fields. however with witch queen buffing exotic primaries in pve, and haunted granting the forgiveness in pvp, its my favorite gun again.

Hey Nomad, I know you'll likely never see this, but I know you put a ton of effort into the AE video which got kinda waylaid by Bungie announcing changes so soon. What would be awesome to see though, is a detailed breakdown of exactly why aerial combat is such a core aspect of D2's PvP. I suggest this because I've found many of my PvE friends simply don't understand what the problem is. A video from someone as knowledgeable as you going in depth on how it effects the flow of combat and feel of PvP gameplay is something that would be super useful as a resource to help educate the wider community of just what makes PvP in D2 so special, because a ton of my PvE friends (which, lets face it, is most of the community) really don't get why I love the PvP in D2 so deeply. Additionally, I bet a lot of the work you did for the AE video could be rolled into this discussion. Just a suggestion, but I would absolutely love to hear your takes and opinions on this topic, and would really appreciate perspectives to draw on other than my own and my like, two buddies who play PvP. Whether or not you decide to talk about this all, it would be awesome if you could let me know if you've seen this suggestion. My favorite pulse is finally on top of someone's list. Legal Action should be in the great category. I get consistent two burst kills; arrowhead, accurized, surplus, and rampage. Darkest Before should be in the great category as well. It's a laser on console with arrowhead, ricochet, surplus, and elemental capacitor.

Chattering bone is an amazing weapon, I will die on this hill alone but it's a great feeling lightweight pulse that I love. I have only recently gotten to using it after I fell for bxr, which I love, but I wanted to get a kinetic one and I quickly learned that that there was only one legendary kinetic one. I got several rolls and I've been using a under pressure/rangefinder roll and it's great. Try a better roll and maybe you'll see where I'm coming from but great video ascendant, can't wait to see more!

Ok, seeing you on solar trying to use collective obligation hurt my soul. The way it works is: you apply void effect to target, you suck up that void effect by shooting with le gun, and then u activate the perk when the big circle is lit, letting you know your effect is fully charged.

I like how you opened by saying that an objectively bad gun can be great to some people because you put my favorite gun Jurassic Green in the bad tier. I've always loved the shooting feel of the gun and I have a 5/5 roll for me being the roll you showed but with a handling masterwork so it's a bit more snappy. I've always been impressed with how consistently I can comfortably reach people at the other end of map lanes and the recoil isn't too bad if you get its rhythm, and I'm on xbox so I get to worry about that recoil.

As a controller player I think Darkest Before is slightly underrated thanks to how good it feels running with Arrowhead + Ricochet + Tunnel Vision/Surplus + Elemental Capacitor. You can make out recoil direction with stasis or have absurd levels of stability with void and those clean sights made it feel impossible to miss as long as I was putting in the required effort.

As a pve main, Ogma is my go-to energy weapon for almost every endgame mission where champion mods permit it. I have like six different rolls of it but I mainly run a Wellspring/Demo or an Unrelenting/Firefly, both work great. Ogma is one of my favorite weapons hands down.

Anyway, personally No Time To Explain, Darkest Before, The Messenger, New Purpose, Outbreak Perfected & Piece of Mind are probably my favorites of Pulse Rifles. (In that order.) Pulses may very well be my favorite kind of gun in the game, honestly. I do have a Gridskipper & I just got a decently rolled BxR so I might take a better look at those. Kind of wish Chattering Bone felt better, but honestly all of the Last Wish loot bar 1k and _maybe_ Transfiguration, did not age well at well, which is kind of a shame.

Oh, I'm gonna enjoy tearing this video to shreds, so let's begin shall we? 1:37 Hailing Confusion - You should have just said this and stopped. It's meant for PvE. Not every fucking gun HAS to be PvP or it's trash. Fuck off with that logic. 2:15 Chattering Bone - Wrong. It's not the lethality you're going for. It's obviously gonna be the forgiveness. If you're just constantly whiffing your shots against a speed titan or some such shit? You got HIR to catch your fall and secure you the kill. It's the massive amounts of forgiveness that pulse has that makes it GOOD, not BAD as you failingly put it. 3:20 Jurassic Green - Let me fix that for you; it's Arrowhead Brake/Ricochet Rounds/Tunnel Vision/Multi-Kill Clip. You don't NEED Rangefinder on a bloody pulse rifle, let alone this one. The operating range is more than sufficient, and I found it even better than Darkest Before ultimately. That scope is far more clean and easier to see through. MKC for kill potential, but Rangefinder is an absolute waste. Much more necessary on something like Summoner that needs the help. 3:50 Collective Obligation - ....Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... maybe because you're running SOLAR???? It's a VOID-based weapon that requires VOID-based debuffs. Why the--- [internal rage intensifies] --Also, if you require and ornament to use the bloody thing, you're just bad. It is NOT mandatory, and I prefer the vanilla skin to the ornamental one. 4:38 New Purpose - Wow... seriously? Firstly, the Desperado nerf hurts... but it's definitely been 'fixed' to be what it SHOULD have been in the first place; a PvE-perk. Turns your 340 into a 450 which is a pretty significant jump in RPM. May not turn your 340 into a 540 anymore, but it is ACTUALLY still very competitive. Imagine what happens if they put it on a 390, or a 450. You'd have 540s and 720s respectively... and we do NOT have a 720 pulse in the game; the archetype doesn't exist. I doubt we'll ever see it on a 540 because of this. Chucking bullets with no damage nerf like old Desperado used to? That'd defeat the purpose of the nerf to begin with. 5:11 Forge's Pledge - ....Skipping right along to 5:46. This pulse is trash and helps no one. 5:47 Jian 7 - I find it hilarious they brought this piece of trash back. Imma pretty much say this for all 390s though... sans maybe NTTE. Trash perk pool with trash SUROS aesthetics that look like they got taken out of a furry convention's dollar store setup, and should go back to Hell where it belongs. 6:15 Legal Action II - It's okay, but it requires patience to operate this discount Mr. Game & Watch. Okay perk pool that is NOT bad as you say, but the scope is what hurts it. Those diamond-reticules are just ridiculous and offer no cohesion as to where you're aiming. If one could change the sight, it'd be a far better option. 7:10 Graviton Lance - Okay, now you're just being ridiculous. It's a WONDERFUL option for PvP AND PvE alike. Shuts down supers like nobody's business, and I'm a M&K guy. I'd know. You're saying it absolutely doesn't work at all, and you couldn't be more wrong. It's painfully obvious you're a controller main. 8:54 Premonition - Let's start with skipping this huge fucking disappointment of a pulse. Also, why are you lying? It does NOT drop from Lectern; in-fact it doesn't even have an ESSENCE. You gotta get that trash pulse from the Pit of Heresy dungeon. 9:46 Last Perdition - Remember what I said about the Jian 7? It's that, but in dollar store red. It's trash, has trash perks, and has trash aesthetic, and has the AUDACITY to have a trash ornament that doesn't even work with well over HALF the shaders in-game. 10:43 Darkest Before - [surprised pikachu.jpeg] But seriously, Jurassic Green out-performs it. 12:00 Third Axiom - ...Yeah, it's alright, but has a scope comparative to a cathode ray-tube television, and is a 390 to match. Would be better with a perk refresh. Otherwise, no. 12:37 Gridskipper - This thing has one of the best scopes in the game, second to The Time-Worn Spire's Hitmark IS scope. Maybe not as visible, but you just gotta get your target in that circle, and click. It's a wonderful dueling piece that deserves higher praise than you give it credit for. Hmmmm... you know what else has a scope like this? JURASSIC GREEN. Also, Firmly Planted is a stupid perk that doesn't belong on the pulse class of weapon AT ALL. 14:15 Sacred Provenance - Nope, you're totally right for a change. Good job. 14:58 Cold Denial - ....Is trash, and belongs in the trash. Bad aesthetic, bad sights, bad perkset. 15:57 Syncopation - It's obvious every pulse SUROS puts out is gonna be as trashy as the last. 16:28 Stars In Shadow - Now you're just messing with people. This pulse belongs right in the trash with the rest of the SUROS weapons... and this thing isn't even SUROS! Bad scope, bad aesthetic, terrible perk pool, and if Shaxx gives me one more of these god damned things, I'm going to throw him off the tower. 17:21 The Time-Worn Spire - You'd better choose your next words wisely. You risk insulting my baby here now.... ['better than it has any right to'] You have chosen poorly. Do not EVER come across me in the crucible. I will absolutely destroy you with this thing. 18:16 Ogma PR6 - All this thing does is take the place of my IKELOS SMG. Offers great regen on Demolitionist, and not much else. It has no place in the Crucible. 19:20 Horror's Least - A better Darkest Before with a shitty reticule. Nothing left to say. 20:27 Outbreak Perfected - Kudos for using the supposedly 'inferior' ornament for it... which is actually pretty damn nice, minus the reticule. Just line up a target within the SUN and squeeze. Also, Best in Slot is Time-Worn Spire so unless your pick is The Messenger, which at the time of this writing probably IS.... well.... 21:40 Peace of Mind - This thing is good, but it's still just a dollar store Time-Worn Spire. 22:47 Insidious - Oh no, let's blur out the obvious shape for clicks because general yewtewburr nonsense. GET ON WITH IT. Stats For All/One For All, Demo/Rampage, all sorts of good perks but it's only hampered by that stupid diamond reticule. 23:46 The Messenger - Good luck ever seeing this thing come back, and if it does, it'll be a shell of its former glory. 24:36 XBR55 (BXR-55) - Funny enough is a beta weapon issues to Avery Johnson in 2525. People like to say it's the BR55, but it really wasn't. The XBR featured a 60-round banana mag, and had 'walking' issues. I feel that with this pulse, but despite having to over-correct for everything, is a wonderful dueling weapon. 25:48 Vigilance Wing - Fuck this thing. It's only used by controller goons because of its high reticule stickiness. It's an okay pulse for what it does, but FATS should be intrinsic and it needs a new perks. Also you must be a 6s main. You know how often I see this fucking abomination in 3s? Elimination? Survival? It's. Absolutely. EVERYWHERE. 26:44 No Time To Explain - ...I really fail to see why this thing is here. Is it the satellite that floats around it? Is it the 3-burst potential? I'll tell you this. It's a monster in Gambit. Still annoying to go up against, but a monster nonetheless. 27:40 Bad Juju - ....You're officially on every known illegal drug in the cosmos. Granted, it's a god-tier PvE weapon, but for PvP? I bet it's just because it gives you super energy, isn't it? Otherwise, there are FAR better options. Your style is good, but your execution.... so so very flawed. You're clearly not a pulse main. Also, you CANNOT call this a NOT-tier list, considering your tiers are BAD, GOOD, GREAT, ELITE, and BiS. This is totally a Tier list, you just form it up differently, but the concept and execution are the exact same. This is 30 minutes I'm not getting back, but you should definitely consider the NU-category of pulses and get good with them.

Strawberries!! Also been using Juju since they announced Sunsetting. I'm sitting at over 8k crucible kills on it. The added forgiveness was much appreciated and needed. I do think it has kinda bad range tho. Which I suppose is understandable because it has steady rounds and hip fire grip. Just a little saddening because I lose duels to piece of mind,BxR, and NTTE more than anything. Goes to show it's a pulse meta tho. Anyways loved the vid! Keep up the content!

I love my Legal Action II, I have an Arrowhead, Steady rounds, Heating up, Frenzy roll that I’ve used for a very long time now, and the feel of the gun just draws me to the pulse like no other gun in the game does. At the absurd range it packs, the really high stability my roll has combined with the handling and reload frenzy provides during and after duels, it makes for an amazing experience.

New Purpose with perpetual motion feels pretty good even with the low handling and reload speed, and the bitterspite origin trait is basically free reload speed. Also, it has a recoil direction of 70, which means arrowhead brake will bump up the recoil to 100, unlike messenger's 90. This makes the New Purpose so good at hitting headshots, it's criminal. Nevermind the fact that with Arrowhead Brake, your mod slot is completely open to shore up the weapon with some other benefit, like Sprint Grip, Icarus, or etc with no penalty.

Even without arrowhead, with a CB mod it gets 85 recoil direction which is still vertical. I have a perp motion/desperado roll and I literally put 600 kills on it in 2 days. It's an absolute monster and like you said it's effortless to get precision shots. Insanely underrated. I agree with you 100%.

The problem with Graviton is that, in PVP on mouse and keyboard, it is a weapon that has lightweight damage, adaptive rate of fire, a negative aim assist on the shot that actually counts (and honestly every pulse seems like the opposite of Outbreak, the bloom is just abysmal an feels like a reverse-dynamic sway)

New Purpose is better than Messenger IMO. It has better sights and only needs Arrowhead to reach 100 recoil which frees up a mod slot whereas Messenger needs Arrowhead and Counterbalance to reach 100.

Collective obligation with stag on a rift oriented void warlock... was particularly nasty. Child of the old god grants weakening and that weakening is picked up by it giving it a sort of kill clip that isn't reliant on reload. outside of that and PvE... it's not worth it. Syncopation (with enhanced moving target and enhanced headstone) was my first crafted weapon that I used to go flawless in trials when witch queen dropped. Bad Juju... is *chef's kiss* and nasty on well warlock with a stag rift. In a well... it's time to go all in and get your well back even faster.

I used bad juju for the first time in over 2 years immediately after the patch and in my very first game i was chaining kills left and right which is something i cannot consistently do. I knew from that 1 game that this gun is an absolute monster and its just so fun to use too

Blueberries! And yes, Bad Juju is GOD TIER! As soon as the patch rolled around I made a build for void walker and oh my Lord it was glorious. Got multiple We Ran's, dropped constant 40+ kill games, and dropped TONS of vortex nova bombs. A MUST use for any build.

A god roll Legal Action II is an absolute menace. It has fantastic range, shoots like a laser beam, practically gifts free headshots, and has strong kill chaining potential. Plus, it takes up the kinetic slot, which grants you access to more secondaries.

I started maining Stars in Shadow because of your ranking of it, and gods above and below, is it devastating. The roll I have on it is Firmly Planted, Headseeker Fluted Barrel and Alloy Mags with a Stability Masterwork. This thing shreds, and while I could use my other favorite 340 rpm pulse, the NTTE, I just have way, WAY too much fun with Stars in Shadow that it gets me excited to play Crucible with it

I have arguably the god roll darkest before (Arrowhead, ricochet, slideshot, elemental capacitor) with a range masterwork, it took forever to farm but it was well worth it. I play controller and when on a void subclass it feels incredibly stable. I understand the ranking though, it's incredibly time consuming to get the roll that makes it amazing and when piece of mind exists there's not really much point in farming one unless you specifically want a rapid fire in the energy slot.

I actually think the Darkest before is better on close range maps, but for long to medium range maps I would reconmend Piece of Mind.

Not to mention, if you're a veteran of Halo 2 or later titles, then using the BXR-55 Battler comes as second nature, you just KNOW how to use it. The veterans of Halo 2, 3, 4, 5, and Infinite all have a second sense for their favorite burst or 'pulse' rifle. So if you come across a guardian who's God tier with that weapon, they've probably played 'swat' with it somewhere else before and have mastered the art of leading their shots to always hit their targets
