Here's an interesting detail I felt like pointing out: Splatoon 2 did not give players the ability to swap out main abilities on amiibo gear. As a result, gear such as the cardigan set got little to no use in soloq/competitive due to the lackluster abilities it was stuck with. Splatoon 3 however introduced the ability to swap out the main gear slot on amiibo gear with chunks. This had basically made Amiibo gear like the ones based on school uniforms much more commonly used now even in ranked (Anarchy and X battles).

I think I must be the Anti-Saviorz, then, because I love the goofy and out-of-place outfits you get from Amiibo, because you cannot get them anywhere else. if the outfit was something fairly normal, it wouldn't feel worth it, but the fact that it's stuff like knight's armor and MK power suits makes it feel like what it's supposed to be: a special outfit you can't replicate any other way. I also just like to stick out too, and find extra-large accessories to be "satisfying" in a way lol.

Okay in defense of the original Octoling Boy amiibo. You can't go on the crusades with any other amiibo set. Also it actually does mix-n-match surprisingly well.

I mean... Lil Fry gear set is actually pretty cool. The Chaos Commander Suit you get from that amiibo can be mixed with other headgear. That's what i did actually. See-An-Enemy HUD and Chaos Commander Suit and you have a pretty cyber punkish style that wouldn't look out of place in a movie set in a cyberpunk environment.

i actually use the samarai and power armer v1 bec it goes well on the splatana wiper and stamper and i also changed all of the abilities so they can be good wiper and stamper builds

No problem!!! What I did was just buy a pack of amiibo cards to get the outfits because it’s cheaper but if you want the actual figures that’s okay to!!
