Over halfway into 2023 I thought I'd build an #iracing #tierlist of the cars I've driven, to give you a sense of whether they're worth buying or not. It's all subjective, so don't forget to let me know what you think in the comments!

Not a lot of return for your money due to only really being used in the European Sprint Series, but you should check out the Porsche RSR. It’s probably my favorite car to drive and the long races make for a great challenge.

I have a love hate relationship with the Porsche 992 cup car, but just cant stop trying to master it and have driven it a lot in 2023 ! It brings me back down to earth after trying out the GT3 version !

Great vid. I've been racing the F4 this season and you're right the driving standards are sketchy. I can only assume that this is down to it being D class and is one of the first things people do after leaving rookies.

Yeah I think you’re right James - it’s been this way since being introduced. It’s definitely at least a bit better in the F3 in C class.

I think the 488 is at the end of its life in iRacing. It's real life replacement the 296 has been racing since January, just like the new 911. I'm thinking we might get the 296 next season.

Nice list! Yeah the LMP3 at the moment is a bit of a mess but hopefully as the hype stabilizes, the driving standards will be pretty decent and it will become a staple on iRacing. I'm considering doing the Pcup next season just so I can improve my driving skills overall.

Great review, different cars to my usual rides; I'm usually in a Mercedes AMG GT3 and Late Model stock. I think the iRacing physics have got alot better over the year and the newer cars are really excellent. Road racing wise I largely stick to the AI (its really good and much more fun for me than the road racing lobbies) and online lobbies for the Late Model Stock (generally really good online racing). I've tried to get to grips with the NASCAR Next Gen stock car, but that feels a little too ice racing for me. 100% agreed with you about the Porsche Cup.

@@Ben_LaBroca the ovals are fun - the best racing I find is Class D oval racing where there's no yellow flag/ caution laps. It kind of forces people to race clean. Road course AI is great for longer and relaxing races. I'm really enjoying you AI F123 series.

Agree with driving the LMP3, great car. Although I've started to avoid the series as it seems to have become more a race of survival..!! 😁. Literally just bought the Porsche 992 GT3 this weekend and so far so good.

Have you tried changing the brake balance? Helped me a ton from spinning out, I used to spin out going straight and I was like WTF

@VirtualRyders yes brakes lock up too easy on me and I cannot seem to get the brake limit set to 80% like others say to do with the Logitech pedals

If you want to have a lot of fun and amazing racing, get into a good F4 league. I did one for a couple seasons and it was just constant battling, start to finish.

I bought the F3 last season based on the schedule being that good! This season has been very disappointing. Luckily the F4 has picked up the slack a bit

@@MidPackRacer1 last seasons f3 schedule was very good, I just didn’t like the car. F4’s schedule last season was ok, this season has been much better though! But I would like something a little faster. I thought about the 3.5 but it’s not very active

Another great vid. As someone who isn't on iRacing yet, how would you compare the F4 and F3 to their Raceroom counterparts in terms of handling and difficulty to drive?

Great question Matt. I haven’t driven RaceRoom after recent updates, but overall I’d say iracing is generally “better” for single seaters than RaceRoom. They’re both probably a bit more tricky to drive, but more rewarding. And of course damage is a lot more severe in iracing!

2023 for me has been F3 and F4 with a sprinkling of LMP2 depending on what tracks I own. I have tried the LMP3, but to be honest I cant see the appeal. It is a dog to drive compared to the LMP2 and though I may be generalising, I think a majority of people racing and enjoying it, haven't given the LMP2 a chance.

So I’ve been thinking about this! I’m not sure quite how to rank them given the season schedules rotate and often you find yourself having to choose your tracks based on what’s being raced. Plus a track varies hugely in enjoyment depending on what you’re driving. What do you think?
