@@armaanb.6566 Eh, crazy amount of anime figures aside, you can do a lot of proper decoration without spending too much. An easy way to achieve it is color coordination, and having an aesthetic in mind as you buy the things you were going to buy anyway. I knew I wanted a simple edgelord red+black (and sometimes gray/silver), so when I finally bought desk, I just bought one of those black and red ones, same with speakers, headphones, PC case, computer fans, mousepads, so on and so forth. I barely spent anymore than I would've spent buying them normally, I just was consistent. And it looks good. If you are a posters guy, you can also try to match the coordination, maybe paint your walls in that way too. If you have got a bit of crafts skills, you can also decorate with handmade stuff. Or paint stuff you already have with your desired color scheme.

By the way, for those struggling with room cleaning, have you ever looked up cleaning tips for people with ADHD? (These are some that I am currently finding very helpful.) Decorating Examples: -Don't put anything away where you can't easily see it. Examples: Stack clothing on open shelves covered by a pretty curtain that's easy to tie open. Use clear storage boxes when possible, and arrange the things inside so you can see everything in them without opening the box. If you must use drawers, only put ONE layer of things in them. -If things keep ending up in one particular spot, don't fight it; decorate it! Examples: If trash keeps ending up in that one spot in the middle of the floor? That's where your next aesthetically pleasing tiny trashcan goes. Your nightstand is always super cluttered? Start experimenting to figure out how to fit all those things onto the nightstand or onto easily-accessed shelving directly behind it in a way that makes sense to your brain. Cleaning Examples: -Divide every bit of the cleaning process into manageable, single activity, finite chunks and assign each a point value based on how important+how difficult it is to complete. And make sure to plan rewards you can spend your points on too! Examples: 5 points for picking up trash, 5 points for taking dirty dishes to kitchen, 20 points for cleaning those dishes, 5 points for folding clothes, 5 points for putting them away, etc. Example rewards could be: 20 points for a favorite soda, 50 points for a new manga, 100 points for an anime figure, whatever makes sense to your brain (and budget). -Don't worry about getting distracted during the cleaning process. Pick a single thing you want to get done, and every time you remember what it is just go back to it and work on it a little more. Every little bit counts! Sometimes distractions are just a way for our brain to buffer making decisions about the next part of the cleaning process.

Another Few Tips I’ve found useful (at least for my ADHD): 1. Have a Useful items Draw/Container/Bucket/Whatever and keep generic things, easy to lose like Nail Clippers, USB, fidget toy, Safety Pins, Bookmark, etc. in, so that when you need it, you only have to look through say one area rather than your whole house to find said item, or if you have a item you have no clue where to put but will likely come back to you can default to said drawer. 2. Organise to fit yourself: Don’t feel as as though you need to organise to set or ‘normalised standard,’ if it works/feels right to you go with it (eg. Don’t feel you need to colour organise books/shelves just because everyone else does it, do it if means *you* can find it easy/satisfies you. 3. If you need to pile something/put multiple items aside make sure it’s in small piles, one big pile can be daunting and make you feel less likely to tackle it when the time comes; if you a. See all items in a pile without moving it, B. Quickly sort through it without it taking say more than 5-15mins to have it properly put away and C. Don’t mentally go like “huh that’s getting to be a big pile”, then it’s tends to be good pile. 4. If you really forget to drink, specifically water and/or don’t want to get up to get one, have a bottle of water next to your bed/‘regular spot’ (eg. Desk) in the house; Trust me, It’s gotten me into the habit of actually drinking some and when you moving from said spot to do something and notice the bottle is empty, take that chance to refill it rather than forgetting until the next time you come back to said spot. 5. On occasion if you feel too tired or burnout, but you feel overwhelmed by mess/clutter in your bedroom; re/Make your Bed, (whether you have to rearrange plushies, or it’s as simply pulling up the bedsheet and re-place your pillows, I find that making a bed is a simple way to slightly declutter, calm or even refocus your Mind, while also helping you guage whether you have said energy to commit to fully cleaning or if you need recharge before you tackle anything else (it also means that should you need to reorganise a number of items (eg clothes) you can visual spread them out to mentally reassign what to do with the) These may not work for everyone but these are small habits that have helped lighten tasks with ADHD, Anxiety and my Depression. Also big up for OP’s tips too!! :)
