Yeah, I did in fact connect with Ove, especially when he adopts the stray cat, largely because his wife would of liked it. Of course, not everyone is as interested to what happens to a man when he becomes too old to be popular. And unless he has something to give to them there's just not enough time for him. However, maybe with G-d's help Ove finds a new family who treat him in a way that pretty much saves his life. As for the age thing, his heart is too big - as certainly many doctors have told him, and he's aware that in terms of life expectancy he's older than he is in geologic time. Anyway, I very much enjoyed it.

Charlotte McConaghy does have a fantasy YA trilogy and i did add Once There Were Wolves on my TBR but Migrations i didn't, not saying i will never read it (I'm a never say never type) but the premise sounds so depressing that i need to wait a while to read it (I'm also a animal lover so I'm sensitive about that). I did read A Man Called Ove in December since the American remake was played twice at separate points at the CTC i started attending last January (it's a education program for disabled adults) and since i already bought the book years ago i finally read it and i thought it was ok. Basically the character of Ove was inspired by a news story in Sweden about a old man who had a yelling spat in public and the author found him relatable and first made blog posts as a fictionalized version of the Ove character then made the book

OMG, Butcher and Blackbird started out as a 5 star read for me and once the romance kicked in full throttle, it plummeted to a 2 star at best. I really enjoyed the killings they were doing but like you said, that all fell to the side when they gave into their crushes and I could not with the sex scenes which were chapters long. I pretty much just skimmed the chapters for the final 3rd because I just wanted to be done with this book.

I love the booktube community I’m wanting to get into reading but I have trouble trying to read I can’t shut my mind off and read and when I try audiobooks I just forget it’s playing it’s so frustrating I want to read with my eyes but not be so distracted by noise in my head and I have a hard time pushing in any book even a good book. But other than that books and bookish aesthetic has been slowly calling my name and teasing me past few years. Idk why lol

@@aliaab123 yeah but she seems to hate every book she reads, no offense but I don't like overly negative book content videos, I love when she gives recs but when she starts to talk about them it's always a deep dark hole of her talking about the negatives of the book even if she rated it 5 stars and then she starts to say something negative about it, she does that with all books I swear I've watched so many of her reviews videos and she never says anything positive about at most two books in a video.
