DID anybody else’s parents order a personal story book with their name as the main character since your name was impossible to spell? There was a company a million years ago that would let you pick from a number of themed stories and then you could add your name as the MC? I got a fantasy story and a dinosaur story that both had my name (correct spelling) in them. I believe they even had little personality things in the story too? I know there’s a company that still does that for kids teens and adults now too.

@@cj8310 really? I didn’t know they even did that sort of thing. My mom said she and her sister got named cabbage patch kids. Impossible to do that now with so many different names and spellings.

So I don't know if you've heard of that Rainbow Magic children's book series, where basically each book was titled "[name] the [blank] fairy", so that little girls could pick out their own name etc. When I was 8 I received one of those books as a gift for my birthday (in the Italian translated version), and naturally it was the one where the fairy shared my name. And I was so excited because the name Ilaria, which is my name and also the name that was chosen for the Italian translation of the book, is kind of rare and there isn't much Ilaria representation in general lol so I was so excited that I finally found something where one of the characters had my name.

As a Kristina, I love the initial K. It is my favorite letter, and not just out of egoism, but because it is such a versatile letter and also one of the rarest letters for words to start with. It stands for so many things (thousand, black, etc - there is a whole chapter on the letter K in a book called "Design Rants and Raves" - K means a whole slew of things). It is also so beautiful to letter, you can make so many swooshes and styles for it (I'm a lettering artist, and there are few letters as fun as K is to draw, imo).
