I kinda disagree about Collin not understanding his feels it makes sense for him cause he doesn’t Perceive love to be something that develops over time, but is an instant. It’s one of the reasons why he would not consider pen for so long.That being said i do not want to see it in the show as much as we had it in the books at all. I don’t want him debating about if he’s in love with her or not after they engaged and have started making out and stuff like in the books. I want him in the show have a moments upon this, with the frustration that he feels for not realising it sooner an understanding where he placed pen in his mind before all that and not after it. There was to much questioning but some questioning in a long term friends to lovers story is pretty justified

I would really like to see hyacinth and Francesca book cause there books were so different from the rest of the Bridgerton story. Also, Gregorys a little bit to because he had all of the werid tropes that I think the author wanted to throw in at the end. Francesca being a background character in Bridgerton had her story takes place in Scotland even talks about how isolated she feels from her family, and not knowing information. All that rlly fleshed her out for me she was also I think the only women who rlly knew what she wanted in the bedroom which was refreshing. And Elsie of the show stole hyacinth personality and hyacinths whole plotline being a mystery diamond stealing story is so cool I rlly hope her personality isn’t changed so drastically to differentiate herself from Eloise.

Great video. I think they revealed Penelope's screct in hte first season because with the internet it keeping her identity a secret would be impossible. If the surprise was going to be spoiled anyway, why not just tell the truth? It certainly gave the show many new story lines

First: your cat is so cute!!! Secondly: I totally agree with you about the lack of steaminess and Anthony and Kate’s season. It felt like a huge letdown, and it really made me upset because Kate is one of the only female protagonist not from the Bridgerton family, and is a woman of color, and I didn’t feel like they promoted her as well as they could have too! Plus also they built up all of this tension between Anthony and Kate over and over and over again, but then they don’t really give us a huge sense of satisfaction at the end because there is a lack of those steamy scenes that we got from Daphne and Simon in abundance. But, since Anthony and Kate are going to remain in the show for the foreseeable future, since they are the Viscount and Viscountess, I’m hopeful that we’ll see more from them going forward.

I didn't mention it in this but by the time I was editing I had watched the trailer and combed through it a few more times with some friends on discord. They pointed out that there seems to be an allusion to some Kanthony spice at 0:20! Which I am holding out hope for, because as you said they'll continue to play their roles. Their tension was off the chartsssss and we deserve that payoff.

I do think Colin very quickly starts to appreciate Pen more I agree there is layers of denial. I was mostly annoyed at his unnecessary “aggressive” moments when he is being hands on and while he is depicted to be charming and lovely.

I saw it as kind of the point. Pen put him on a pedestal. That she loved the idea of him and only that what he showed other people so seeing him angry (sometimes justified sometimes not) comes of as less one dimensional on his character. He himself has a problem with how he is perceived most of the time.

@@malena5026 absolutely! I just wish they took the point and dotted the all the i(s). I felt this side of Colin was not successfully developed and even in book 5 he seems nicer than in book 4. So is this a strong part of his personality or does he have moments? (Of course in book 5 he is less present, which is a factor to consider).

it’s been pretty Predicted that Benedict will get his season next, even though timeline Eloise walking away from that ball was the beginning of her story.She ran due to feeling alone and undirected after her best friend has found her path but in the show to combat her season likely being fifth I think she will truly start feeling alone after Benedict’s season being that they have had such a connection in the show. Although she might not feel misdirected at all, as in the books, her misdirection made her in my opinion, desperate enough to go after Philip and Eloise of the show could never be the Eloise of the books, so we are definitely getting a lot of changes. Her story will hopefully not be as awful. Same with Benedict season, except his story has more promise, because of the plot summary on its own being good, even though the execution was shit in the story. Plus he in the show has shown he is less weird about status ( how will Benedict even glow up for his season he stays glown up)

I have heard quite mixed reviews on Benedict's book (I haven't read it yet but if I jump back into the books I think I'll do his next) but I completely agree with you on not needing a glow up haha. I quite like Benedict in the show, I do hope they do his next

Honestly I’m so worried about how they are going to portray Colin’s “bad temper” in the series. In the book, Colins temper literally shocked me because I watched the series before reading the books and omg my jaw dropped. Book Colin was so aggressive and has major anger issues and sometimes if not always projected it on pen. I am conflicted tho because it was his “bad temper” and insecurities that broke Pens false fantasy she had of him and started seeing him more as a person and not a knight in shining armor that she put on a pedestal. Like I get Colin doesn’t want to keep up the easygoing and charming guy facade and be his own person but don’t take it out on Penelope 😭😭

I think Colin is going to go to Violet instead of Daphne for advice. As Franny isn't married or in love yet. However, I can pretty much guarantee that Franny will get married in this season. It is the only way to set up for the events of her story. I won't spoil it for you but, her love interest in her book is the best, followed closely by hyacinth's.

Colin met Penelope when she was 16 and he was 22. Let's not forget that Penelope was Eloise's friend, not Daphne's. What 22-year-old man who was probably having sex with widows and prostitutes when he met Penelope would even consider falling in love with his little sister's teenaged friend, who wasn't even of age? I'm pretty sure that one of the books made it clear that Colin spent most of the year outside the country, and he would only dance with the Featherton daughters because his mother made him do it. Now I am a man, so I don't see these stories the same way as you do, but I will say that Colin must have been in love with Penelope because he would have married any girl in town. I just don't know at what point in their love story that Colin fell in love with Penelope.

I usually don't mind changes made for tv adaptations because in my mind they are completely different stories/universes. they just share names and that's it. Even happens to me with percy jackson. I love the movies, and i loved the series, and i love the book, and they are all parallel universes in my mind. However, i was so pissed during bridgerton season 2. they truly ruined the story for me. Edit: about the technicalities of the video per se: i found the audio to be too low, i had to turn my headphones to max volume and even then it was a bit low. it doesn't sound bad, it's just too low.

Also, I loved the Percy Jackson show and made a bunch of tiktoks about it as it was coming out...I seriously don't understand all the negativity surrounding it. Like yes I think some of the critiques are valid but with every new episode I feel like more and more people were coming out of the woodwork LOOKING for things to hate about it. Like at that point, are you even having fun?

You have such a lovely voice 😊 I like your takes. I probably will like the show more and how it handles LW in the book it felt like rushed. The half of the book they worry what would happen if LW is find out and at the end they just reveal it and everybody is fine (?) with it. In the show I don’t think they will reveal it to the ton only pen, Eloise and Colin will know (minus Cressida she will be out in place by them) revealing it would take the narration out of the show so they will keep it. Hopefully Colin has to work more for her affection than in the book adding a suitor was a good choice.

Only eleven minutes in and no-everyone is problematic in these books. Daphne literally r*pes Simon in her book and doesn’t feel bad. It was so horrific that even when the book came out women were fuming that Daphne had done such a horrific thing. I’m still shook thinking about it and the fact Julia didn’t think to take it out.

Oh I mean I completely agree, I was side eyeing season one of the show when Daphne did that, but especially with how much season two changed stuff I REALLYYYYYY think they could have removed that plot point and replaced it relatively easily. I just amended my statement because not ALL of the women are problematic, but all of the men are. Doesn't mean there aren't women who are too, Daphne included
