2 things Firstly check your lane arrows on the bus roads around the outside. Secondly you need an invisible path through the parking lots to the pedestrian area park because currently nobody can access it

I'm a big fan of invisible paths - I even used them before I found that mod (you can hide the pavement paths under other pavement). Getting pedestrians walking in areas they shouldn't is just so cool. I wish I could find a 'loitering' invisible tile piece, that would simulate how people hang around parks, etc. There are just so many place we could use those.

Your new neighbourhood could really use a Tube station and there's a line running right underneath already. There are going to be loys of people and you've reduced the number of possible ways in with the retaining wall. I look forward to how you finish it because it serves as a way to accomplish modern infill while reducing car dependence. Unless commercial and office space is coming later, workers, at least those who aren't still working from home are going to need to commute out and in daily.

As a fellow Brit this is my favourite series that you've done. As we both know however, to make that high density area authentic to the UK, you need to add some abandoned shopping trolleys, graffiti and some bars on the windows of the service buildings :-)

yeah I lived off one of those in Portsmouth many years ago. Concreate pub and church with community centre, abandoned car/ van/ motorbike, kids on off road scramblers (with no helmets but "kevlar" tracksuits and hoddies.) and today especially throwing fireworks and nicking cans/ crates of cider from the local shops.

Hindle Park sits right over an underground line, it would be a perfect candidate for either a small station or perhaps a public transport hub with a Park and Ride to service the nearby estates.

You should add a pedestrian path on that large retaining wall and connect it to the pedestrian bridge by the roundabout. Then bring that path into the area you built up in this video.

You went so ham with the parking; I almost thought you were building an American city. If the area has good public transit, it will be fine without this much parking. A metro connection would do very nicely for a high density area like this along with bus routes connecting to nearby areas.

Another great one Biffa! Some suggestions for you. Happy if you use none of them! 1. School fields! Lots of space on this build behind the schools for tennis courts, football, rugby and cricket pitches (all very British!). 2. could do with a corner shop, takeaways and pub near the flats. Often seen together! 3. A heritage railway. The UK has loads of history with railways. Steam or conventionally powered etc. 4. How about a country ford (I know how you love playing with water😂😂) is a very British countryside thing. Even if vehicles don’t use it. 5. Graffiti, post boxes, electrical cabinets & telephone boxes. All random and all British! 6. Royal Mail? Can’t have a British map and no postal service! 7. Service station, only accessible via the motorway. Ie, whole junction on and off, petrol station, commercial, perhaps a road service building? 8. Roadworks! Temporary traffic lights/signs/holes in the road etc. 9. Last one. Community centres. Scout halls (& camp sites), guide halls, boys brigade, st.John etc. they all need to meet etc. Keep going Biffa. You do some great stuff, I am hooked yet don’t play the game! Many thanks, Matt

Hello Biffa, I recently enjoyed a visit to the UK and with my cities skylines glasses on I spotted 2 traffic things I wanted to share with you. Near larger cities you see often roundabouts with traffic lights. I can imagine the roundabout was not working very well with increased traffic and instead of rebuilding the roundabout to a crossing with traffic lights, the local government decided to combine the two options. Sometimes only lights to go on the roundabout, sometimes on just 1 leg or sometimes on the roundabout itself. Maybe this is a nice option for you to experiment with. The other thing I spotted were the extremely high trucks, as high as doubledecker busses. We don't see that kind of trucks in The Netherlands, I think most of the bridges might be to low. Maybe there are some assets to find for Blightea.

Just a couple of things the maisonettes round the central park I think would have 32 households, 16 front and 16 at the back, also maybe put some low density commercial between the bigger flats. Or plop some pub or little play ground assets between them. Where I live (in a flat). We have a pub and shop and even a Day care 200 yards away. Anyway loved the episode and LMAO at that traffic.

Check out guides discussing "road hierarchy" in Cities Skylines. Implementing good road hierarchy is much more effective (and more important imo) than just "lane mathematics". After that, consider mass transit options with a focus on getting sims to where they need to go (homes to shops/jobs).

@30:30 -- You'd have quite a lot of fun with the city I sent you a while ago, haha. I believe it goes between 13-18% with despawning OFF. Tips: Game loads but is so old, need to replace metro stations and check the rails for that connexion bug (you need to "move it" a few inches so they reconnect). Oh turn off parking AI too, didnt know what it was and does not need to be checked... And I use boreal without the "farmlands" theme (dunno why but map hangs with Farmlands enabled). Quite the challenge, even with what I have learned ;-)

Hi Biffa im a Big fan. You should try and recreate the road layout of Redditch (Worcestershire) the highways and roundabouts were a 'special' layout to help with traffic so its quite unique, we even have our own calendar of roundabouts because there are so many lol

I feel like the 2 sets of bigger high-rise developments (around the 26:00 mark) would maybe have their own little play area or so - you know the kind of thing the developer includes to stick in the brochure to make it sound appealing, but it inevitably ends up being a bit crap, unused, and ultimately vandalised and the developer/housing association/landlord is too cheap to maintain/replace it. Or maybe something like a basketball court, or small skate park or... I know you've got the main park area nearby, it just feels like something you'd find there anyway, the kind of 'it's useless but it makes the planning application look good' thing.

I live in Croydon and we have 3 skyscrapers in the town centre and several 30 storey towers which have been built over the last decade to increase the residential population of the town centre. Across London there's supposed to be a few hundred 30+ storey residential towers planned to help to increase the density.

Great council eatate. Looking forward to the terraces that'll surround it. I think even some semi detached houses would work, assuming they looked rugged enough, i feel like that area should stick to a very council estate vibe rather than a posh area. A football pitch and some basketball courts would work as well, i suppose near the school. Maybe use some of Rik's shops from his council estate high street collection, not the main town high street, i believe he has housing small high street models with flats on top too, a pub would also be nice.

If I didnt see completely wrong the metro runs right underneath the new area so a nice metro station could help moving the people around and reduce the traffic. I personally love the metro in my town. The most used public transportation.

Wish you had selected all the nodes on the turbine and lowered them all down as a group and the adjusted the slip lanes to suit after. Feel like that would’ve been the most streamlined way of adjusting all down

grat build i think if you use a Japanese style like an Asian hood or a complex in the city be great ... and the city need more theatre and opera house , museum and historical building to be more likely British city ... but an Japanese or Chinese section be great to the city
