did 2k fix their progression system, ive played for years and done alot of leagues but i havent bought this 2k yet but from all the videos it seems like players can progress in the later years of their careers, not just maxing out at 24-25 and regressing by 29-30

Yeah they used to stop progressing after 25 in the old ones but I’ve seen players progress 1-2 until they are about 30. If your player has high potential too, they will hit their potential as long as you play them a lot of minutes. Still broken but better than the last 3 years

Doc Rivers killed Ben Simmons career. Reduced him to a glorified role player that whole season. Guarding the best player and feeding shooters. No sets for him to score they decided to only dump the ball into the post for Joel. They were winning games so fine but then in the play offs Joel is injured and they’re like “hey Ben go do that stuff you were doing last year that you weren’t doing all season because we turned into a post play team.” And Simmons closed out the Wizards on a 20 point triple double. Then Joel returns against the Hawks and has 8 turnovers in game 7 trying to do everything again on one knee. But they only care about one pass. Then Doc and Joel throw him under the bus despite the whole season being built to play around Joel.

Agreed. They played him out of position and reduced his play style to "just be Magic,but with the passing" and taking away everything that made him good (attacking the basketball, finishing, using his size and speed in mismatches). The 76ers should've realize early on that they could build around Ben Simmons or Joel Embiid but not both, but they didn't, and wasted 5 years and had a hand in diminishing Ben's overall confidence and skillset.
