It’d be nice to be decent AND get better than pick 5, can you imagine? 😂 if they can be like the 11-12 seed in the East, (I assume as the 12 seed that’d mean they’ve got like the 5th odds or so) not be absolutely beyond atrocious…just plain bad with young guys progressing etc. You know, like a normal bad team? Then have 40ish percent at a T4 pick and actually get it? That’d be the dream basically with realistic expectations in a tough talented NBA. Obviously not every young guy can ball out, so I hope the guys in their 3rd/4th years especially take leaps. If Ron Holland doesn’t go crazy that’s cool, he’s a project IMO. As long as he shows flashes, same with hopefully Sasser and Klintman to certain extents. At least show promise and have upside to at be minimum good rotation players as a Bobi or Sasser, guys like that. Same with Stew, hopefully he shoots it well again on decent volume and they play him as a stretch 5 a decent amount and he shows he can do play that position. I want to start seeing the results of having the best shooting coach in the NBA show. It’s way more than a 1y process, but some progression. I just want to find out a lot about this team…especially Cade and who the key guys are going forward. Not be a sub 20 win 14/15 seed that is miserably bad all year, make smart moves in the front office at the deadline, and maybe get some lotto luck after. That’s a lot to ask, but I’m not crazy enough to think they’re gonna be in the play-in or anything. I think they very likely need another high pick anyway and to actually hit on it. Go Pistons.
