That youth academy kid with 94 potential had a low OVR because his position was incorrect.. sometimes FIFA has this glitch with positions where when you go through the stats, you get to know what the players actual position is.. you can train accordingly and see the jump in the OVR.. (Eg: A ST in youth academy can be a CAM or CB also)

A recommendation for a next championship career mode signing is Felix Afena-Gyan, from Cremonse. I used him in my Stoke City career mode, and he grew to 94 rated and scored 54 goals in the final season. Love the content.
