Notts County are the oldest football team in the professional game! (Sorry Sheffield FC). The club alongside Wrexham put up a huge fight in the National League and even fell into the play-offs that they won against Chesterfield in a penalty shootout! After quickly adjusting to league two life and being top of the table, manager Luke Williams decided to go to his old club Swansea, and leave Notts County to drop down the league. Now in 7th, ex-Wealdstone manager Stuart Maynard has to pick up the pieces and lift Notts County up the leagues as they aim to do so!

Notts county are the only oldest club in the football league. Sheffield FC actually the oldest, being found in 1857. They made their own rules, which coexisted alongside the FA rules, earning them a fifa order of merit alongside Real Madrid. Right now they’re in the 9th tier of English football.
