Part of the issue is that the ai allows itself to get lowballed a lot, so trading too much makes a rebuild not a challenge. My rule has always been no trading for impact players or rookies. Make trades to improve depth and less impactful positions. Stars either gotta be free agents or developed from within.

a tip is you always want 3 good corners and recievers because the slot reciever in most playbooks is the one who gets targeted the most and puts up the most numbers, therefore the slot corner gets targeted just as much. you can go to the specialist tab in the adjust lineup screen to set the slots and other specialists just like in mut.

this also means if you have a reciever you really want to develop, throw them in the slot and theyll most likely end up having the best stats on the team.

One thing you can do differently is change your team scheams to where they match the players you have. You’ll see a great difference in progression because players develop A LOT faster that way and your team plays better

When you get a generational talent, the 2 special things about them is that they have one insane stat, and they HAVE to have superstar x-factor. that pick was one of the better picks i’ve seen. if you want to learn more about how to get better generational talents, Bengal has a good video on how to scout them

meags week 3 is when you can go into scouting and select a specific position for your 1 and 2 star scouts to focus on and week 8 is when you can assign your 3 star scout a position to focus on, unsure if you were aware of this but it is a great help

For your next rebuild, always put your young receivers as slot wr1, easy way to get a dev upgrade. also put your safeties (doesn't matter strong or free, i usually put both with the younger safety at sub lb #1 and the other safety at sub lb #2) at sub lb and as 2nd and 3rd slot corner, 9 times out of 10 they will get dev upgrades. Can't wait for the next rebuild papa meags

Hey MMG, a tip for franchise is that whatever the slot wide receiver is in the depth chart will get the most touches and go off every year. So John metchie went off in the Texans vid bc he was in the slot

A tactic for trading is to offer the least amount possible to gauge the AI trading. You should be able to fleece almost every trade you do. You couldve given the falcons a 7th rounder and you probably wouldve landed pitts.

Been loving the rebuilds MMG, I would say improvements that could be made in these episodes would be : - showing season stats for the team and how they match up to the rest of the league. - Going over the draft a bit more, like covering the top players that were picked (such as how you mentioned you wish you knew what the OLB that you passed on looked like)
