What separate Stories 2 and pokemon is monster movements. In stories, their moves mirror their actual main line counterpart moves. Giving it a believable and living vibe. For example, that Anjanath kinship is actually an exaggerated version of his move in world. While pokemon animate moves only, combined with their default attack animation. That's why you see scorbunny kicking, but the move it use is something completely different. With the amount of monsters in stories 2 tho, i'm surprised that capcom even do that. It's been a decade and game freak still refuse to do this.

This one is far more easier on the loot chance, there are golden caves which has rainbow glowing eggs(best genes). Monsters have their own zone spawn, just hop in/out of it and they'll be back. Whereas on Rise/World you had a piece of armor that required a monster gem with 1% drop rate. About endgame, there is a zone with elder dragons. New DLC monsties will probably be tied to co op/event quests, but its free of charge. The Kulve taroth event might be a raid of multiple players similar to the World one, with endgame armor/weapons as rewards.

What does LOD have to do with age of computer? It's just like any other setting if you can afford it turn it on. Either you want stuff in the distance to load in and look good or the level of detail in the distance doesn't bother you then turn it off. Skillz, the PC preferrer, should definitely know this so did something change recently that only an insider would know? Or maybe my 1080ti doesn't change this functionality you speak of? Tldr: Turn ON LoD if your fps can handle it. If you're struggling to hit 60 then maybe turning it OFF will give you a few fps. PCs long in the tooth don't benefit from this actually the opposite according to common understanding.

I'm curious to see one of these days how you feel about Digital Extremes handling Warframe and the direction they're taking the content. Thanks to you, I fell in love with it back in July of last year but after a year of playing, I'm feeling a strong pull to forget about the game because of DE's constant indecisiveness with buffs, nerfs and reworks, as well as their ignorance when it comes to the game's constant unstable nature.
@MrBlitzpunk3 жыл бұрын
I used to play warframe too, had 1000 hours in the game but then my monitor broke, and i couldn't game for about 3 months. And when i came back it feels like a totally different game, it's like my past 1000 hours of experience didn't amount to anything lmao. Still wouldn't say it's a bad game though
@FunkyyCat_3 жыл бұрын
I don't want to go into too much detail or arguments here cause it's just not really the place, but in my opinion there has been a lot of unwarranted cynicism and backseat game devs in the Warframe community, and the general reaction to the melee nerfs has made me realize just how immature a very vocal part the community can really be. Truth is, live service PvE games need constant balance changes even more than most other types of games because it keeps the game fresh, and every Path of Exile player could agree with that. A couple years ago no one used melee for endgame content, then they added new mods and a 12x combo multiplier and everyone had their fill of melee. Now it's stronger than ever to the point of overshadowing everything else in the game, and it is finally time for a new era of balance. TL;DR is the melee nerfs are very good for the long term health of the game.
@raics1013 жыл бұрын
@@FunkyyCat_ See, that's the thing, it's fine to change things up now and then, but there should be intent, direction and measure to it, or it will feel like you're just aimlessly mucking about to create needless busywork for the playerbase. A lot of players don't appreciate that, and path of exile is a good example of it.
@sushigimme3 жыл бұрын
@@raics101 Exactly my point, thank you. They wouldn't have to rework anything in the first place if they properly stress tested how well everything synergizes with systems that already exist in the game. I tested the reworked melee mods and fine, I can live with that. But why in the world do we have to grind yet another thing for guns just so we can justify their proposed buffs by adding new arcanes? Plus, the Waverider quest is a perfect example of how DE doesn't really have a long term plan for the game and is just coming up with more unoriginal and broken content. The "quest" itself is literally a bunch of K-Drive tutorials and challenges. While doing so, Boon keeps mentioning the legend of Yareli and I'm here thinking to myself "If she's so legendary, how the hell am I just conveniently hearing about it now?"

Great review and help push my buddy over the line into purchase territory andWill be running co-op together for a little bit of extra fun. Really appreciate you reviewing the JRPG and I hope you do more of them in the future if you feel it’s worth taking a look into.

If they simplified monster hunter with these graphics but the standard hack and slash gameplay it would be amazing

MH combat isn't exaxtly hack n slashy, if it was hack n slashy like Devil May Cry, Bayonetta and the classics God of War then there wouldn't be so many complaints about the combat system being "slow, clunky and frustating". MH combat functions very differently compared to other games.

Love MH World, have over 700h played there. Never tried a JRPG before, but I am sorely tempted to try out this. A Frostfang Barioth to ride on - amazing! Thanks for the review.

The MH games focus on one thing, do it right, and always give you enough content so that you feel it's worth 60 bucks. But kids prefer Pokemon just because it's Pokemon, no matter how bad and boring they are. What a shame.

Well it's more like parents. But even still, does MH have an anime, a trading card game, merch, several spinoffs, etc. in the same way as pokemon? Believe you me, I abhor what pokemons become just as much as anyone else but it's really no surprise why MH doesn't have quite the same reach. Who knows, maybe one day it will. Or at least be close.

To be fair...30 hours in P5/P5R doesn't even scratch the depth of combat, but I guess that is one of P5's faults...the s l o w start.

I'm just happy that another beautiful MH game came out. Good luck to all the fellow hunters out there

Even as a hardcore MH fan, I was planning on skipping this. But if the combat is really that engaging, the least I could do is play the trial and see if I can get over turn based combat.

You can try monster hunter stories on mobile first (it got free demo there). The combat is the same.

Its not engaging at all its literally freaking rock paper scissors, dont buy this pos

I still got the game for switch. Turn based games are the best when it comes to long transit trips. Although rubbing the joycons around for those QTEs by my lap can be a bit awkward...

I struggle with JRPG combat too, I keep failing to finish games that are otherwise really good because the combat is sometimes SO SAMEY. I did really enjoy the demo of this so I'm going to buy it! Fingers crossed.

You should be yelling at the mainline monster hunter series for transmog too. Very glad to hear its in this game though!
@Wailingllama3 жыл бұрын
But it's been in the last 3 consecutive titles? GU, World and Rise all have transmog...

You got me in the first half about the boring singleplayer campaign, before you went on about the absorbing combat and grind system. So Capcom focusing on the moment to moment gameplay over the story, as per usual.

It should be always like that when we talk about videogames, first gameplay, then story, that's how i see it.

I usually don't like JRPGs but I love playing Monster Hunter Stories 2, although I did like the first game more where I could change my monstie's element

I really hope this game does well. Pokémon needs more competition and I think this game does more than enough to challenge it in the Monster Collecting genre

Sounds hype as hell! Big MH fan and seeing all those new stylized Renditions with unique ultimates for each one, and I get to capture them, and ride them around and fight with them?! Count me in!

I'm playing it, and it does feel like a Pokemon game, but gamefreak listened to the fans and did cool stuff. By that I mean it's way better
