I started playing 3 days ago. Today I tried casual 3v3 with my friends and the opposite team went ahead to bully me for my humble 6 points 4 minutes into the game. One of them even said their grandma plays better than I do. Dude I literally have 5 hours game time what do you expect, it's CASUAL for a reason. Probably alot easier way for me to explain this, but now I've done it this way and I don't wanna go back and write it all over again, honestly not sure why I'm still typing because now I'm just contradicting myself which is kinda ironic.

Not all GC's are GC in 1s. Some GC's are anywhere from d2 to gc in 1s. For example, in D2 in 2s but D3 in 1s. I get a lot of opponents that are C1-C3 and occasionally GC's.

I seriously don't understand why rl players forfeit so much. People have to learn how to lose matches, deal with it, and learn from it. I lost to a plat the other day (4 to 9). It was a painful loss, but I never forfeit no matter how badly I'm losing cuz it's a learning experience. There is a reason why sometimes we lose, so use losing as a learning experience of what you did wrong. It's just car soccer after all. It's supposed to be a game and fun. The most toxic series of events that I have ever experienced, in Rocket League, happened only a day ago. I had partied-up with two teammates in 3s because we were on a win streak. We proceeded to win like 4 or 5 more games, in a row…however, when we had begun to get scored on, one of my teammates became SO angry and, quickly, switched up his “good guy” facade. It went from “Nice shot! Great Pass! Thanks!” to him saying (in his mic) “I can’t believe I need to be carrying this team”…that’s when he voted to forfeited. I was incredibly confused because of how fast he switched up. Still, there were 3 minutes left on the clock. We got scored on, once more, and the game was 1-4. Both teammates voted to forfeit. After that, I became angry and called them weak for quitting. After all, I had been the one who was bringing them to victory in each game - they had witnessed me 1v3 the other teams…therefore, I don’t know why there was a, sudden, change of heart; as if we weren’t capable of winning this game. Anyways, after I called them weak for quitting after being scored on, they started spamming “Nice shot!” when the other team hit the ball and “Great pass!” when I hit the ball. It wasn’t like I was being toxic. I was trying to win the game! I think what really pushed me over the limit was the fact that after they had voted to quit, one of my teammate’s took their sweet time to sit in net and write in chat, “sorry blue team my tm8 just doesnt wanna ff”…and the game wasn’t even too far apart!!!!! THERE WERE LIKE THREE MINUTES!! Am I wrong for not wanting to quit because I actually have confidence in my abilities?…are YOU justified for quitting when there are almost 4 minutes left in the game? Honestly, I think the reason why so many people are hard-stuck in their ranks is because they just give up too early, for stupid reasons, and without logic.

I mean... It's playing in a way that makes it less fun for other people, which in any other game would be unsportsmanlike, yeah. I guess that's different in higher ranks when you're doing anything to win, but it just seems a bit overkill lower down. It doesn't particularly effect me either way, if someone does nothing but demos I'll just leave 😅 it's a game, and I'm nowhere near good enough to be putting my rank above having a good time.

To get rid of the toxicity in my mind after this enlightening experience, I had to burn my eyes out with bleach, and listen to trash music to stop myself from hearing the chat bubbles that pop up with toxic twelve year olds, and scream to myself why I suck at rocket league. When some of the pain relinquished I could only play exhibition matches against bots for a while because they don’t judge me on how bad I am. Even know when I look my dog in the eyes it’s like he’s saying “What a save!!” In my face. I will never be the same.
