I used to own an RME interface with built in preamps. They’re a great brand. 👍🏼

Sounds amazing. And it so great to see somebody like you repping RME! They don’t get enough love next to flashier brands, but I love my RME interface. One of the best purchases I ever made.

The 12mic combined with the UFX III interface will be my next setup to record my drums in my home studio. I hope the big investment will pay off.

They sound soooo nice! That Dante is cool! I'm using a RME Digiface connected (via ADAT) to four 8 Chanel preamps (Behringer ADA8200) to get to 32 in/out to the computer via 1 usb connection to the Digiface. Basically a $900 32 channel portable box. Those 8200's also have individual outs to send to a board if live. Now even the maracas have their own mic.

Hello, Casey. You are am amazing drummer. I'm not a musician, but I can appreciate the excellence of their skilled musicians. Do you have a regular 9- 5 job or are you more supported by your affiliations with the drum providers? Nothing wrong with that. I had the honor and joy to attend Carl Palmer 's brilliance. I'm sure you know of him. What do you think) of him? I got a signed drumstick my friend got for me! I always liked the drummers in any band I enjoy. You are really an amazing drummer. The technical stuff goes in one ear and out the other. I was following a drummer in Spain, and stumbled across your videos. You are amazing! Are you in a band? So, I enjoy you and thanks for sharing your talents with us! I appreciated you drum cover of Boston's Peace of mind back then. The tenth anniversary of the bombing at the marathon is coming up this spring. I'll see if ibcan recommend a song for you to cover. i wish you, your wife and the kids the best. Merry Christmas. I love ",O come all ye faithful "hint, hint"

Casey, were those g2 heads and if so, have you tried single ply heads with that maple Gum kit and how do they sound. Listening through my less than ideal phone, the 2 ply heads sound like they are muffling the shell a little to much.

The drummer and drums make itself sound good, but a good mics setup and a well tension drums with skill drummer are what is required first to make a kit like this sound good, the result can change from room to room and skin brand and type, the kit sound very dry and controled maybe due to the Evans skin, but if you put Aquarians or Remo head, it could be very different , the RME is accurate and transparent enough to capture every acoustic difference, wich also depend of your mic type and brand...

OK....the RME 12mic pre's into what interface, thought? He's not going straight into his PC from the RME 12-mic preamp. That's an extraordinarily important piece of information, don't you think, Cooper? This piece of gear is used to expand an interface. Not a stand-alone piece of gear. Correct me if I'm wrong.
