Not a bad yield ! When im ready to refine, ill try the bleach/hcl before i do nitric! Thank you for sharing!
@ScrappingIrishАй бұрын
A for ram it works great and is cheaper than nitric
@ecoscrapper3501Ай бұрын
No nitric seems a much easier way and probably safer. When i begin with my processing I'll definitely be refreshing with your videos. Excellent job 👍
@ScrappingIrishАй бұрын
Ya no nitric is a lot easier for sure

I thought that was pretty cool and I might just save my gold coated circuit board stuff to give this method a try.
@ScrappingIrishАй бұрын
I mainly use this method for ram fingers and mobile phone board most cost effective way

My air bubbler line is constantly getting plugged with crystals. Have you any idea how to stop that? I just squeezed the air line and it's good again till the next day.
@ScrappingIrishАй бұрын
I never get that problem, is like copper crystals

Once you have combined all the gold you collected out of everything, make a video of melting it into a little bar. And then send the bar over to me and I'll cast you something out of it 😂👍

when you went to dissolve the gold, you 300 ml of liquid, then you cut to the smb, you 1700 ml of liquid. What was the 1400 ml's of ;liquid added?
@ScrappingIrishАй бұрын
Sorry I keep adding bleach till the gold has resolved and I add some distilled water to it also

Hope you like a lil bit of dark humor ^^ Because most people calculate in kilograms 1.15 LB is 521 grams. It is known that approx. 5 - 6% of the raw mass of Goldfinger contains 96% gold. That's why I wasn't surprised by the result, but the video was still good to watch. Greetings from Germany, the country where you drive on the right side of the road ^^

Hi, I'm a full time scraper, i found 13 boxes containing 6k old dsl filters, there's 3 phone line ports with 10 pins in them, with my magnifying glass they look like they have been dipped in gold coating, being from old dial up Internet I'm guess it's thickly coated with gold, my question is can i buy a gold test kit off eBay and test gold plating with it? I want to know it's gold before sell them on ebay. Ty
@ScrappingIrishАй бұрын
You can get a gold jewellery test kit ,it comes with different gold test solutions to test the grade of gold
@jillphillips8117Ай бұрын
@ScrappingIrish I've been pulling the pins and so far I have 1 lb. and a 1/4 lbs. Of pins, they sure don't weigh much so when I'm done my estimate is almost 4lbs of pins and probably carpel tunnel in my wrist.

So, 1.15 lb (522g) of strips from trimmed RAM fingers made for 2.75g of (impure?) gold, or a bit over 0.5%. Not bad, about $230 worth at today's 2600/troy oz (~$80/g) rate assuming you get to keep it all after purifying/remelting, etc.
@ScrappingIrishАй бұрын
When I redo it to go purity I will lose a bit but still have the ram chips to do so hopefully will get a few more grams from the chips
