Honestly, the engineers working on the actual line project should just make a open source game where people can build and maintain their own experimental line projects. That way the engineers could get tonnes of data and ideas from gamers for how to build the thing in real life.

There's a cool channel on KZbin that removes beaver dams from culverts under roads to prevent flooding called post 10. It's really cool honestly. In some of them you can see the stuff they make it out of and just how advanced they are at building them

um..he does a lot more than remove beaver dams. Most of his removals are because of poorly designed culverts and water diversions, not beavers. He tends to hit a lot of the same areas year after year, especially in the fall/spring, because they're poorly designed.

Maybe eventually, you will. Though the terraforming here has probably opened up a fair bit itself. It will be interesting to see what RCE does with this update. I expect much frustration, especially if it comes into the current season of Timberborners. Could very well spell doom for it.

I like the concept of the line in this game, but I would like to see it in a larger scale and more filled out. Meaning a larger deeper river and more inside to build on, also thicker walls for more trees and also to use the water ways up top for leisure.

OOOOOOOOH. The big platforms allow you to build above non-solid objects. So you can build until just below the platform height, place the non-solid buildings, the plop the platform down instead of building right on top of it like previous floors. To quote a wise man, "It'll give us so much extra space in our room to do activities."

When I first heard about The Line I assumed they meant it was going to just be a series of mass transit stops where a small town would grow up, and then along the way people would naturally settle because services are available because they can branch off the main trunk. You know, something that might actually happen in the real world. That animation was batshit insane. Lovely.

Play Space Engineers, build to survive the Ravagers. Or turn it to peaceful mode cause your scared of your work getting destroyed every so often once it is big and complicated enough and the Ravagers take notice. Watch Captain Jack's youtube channel for examples of what can be built. SE Water physics is workable in the moded version and in development for the next instalment of the game. So, Space Engineers 2 will have water physics, sand grains, wind, volcanos, and everything Space Engineers 1 has.

Something I do is blow a channel out with dynamite, run the power in the ground, and then put platforms over it. Saves a lot of space when you need to run power. I do the same for buildings you can build on. Blow out a rectangle, put the building down in the ground, build on top.

i kinda wanna see them add a move terrain feature. like an evolution of the dynamite. letting you move the blocks you remove to somewhere else and letting you adjust any map over time. the limiting factor being how fast you can make the modules used to move them. edit: i should really wait to finish the video lol

This is my kind of style So many stuff in a small space where you have to go up instead of to the side to accomodate things (I also do the same when packing bags...no matter how many things almost all of them can be fit in my "light travel pack") Usually i do this in Minecraft where i live in a ravine or on the side of a mountain I have my base that goes through an intricate series of tunnels ladders bridges etc that reaches different places from farms to mines to my base I think im gonna get timberborn sometime cuz i want to do this same line build on my own

the injury mechanic is nearly a universally hated addition to the game, suddenly they are getting sick and injured constantly, with loggers chipping their teeth every other second. They created a problem and a solution to that problem they created for no reason. It has made a hard game, harder.

The large rowhouse is the most efficient, spacewise: 1 beaver per unit volume. The barracks and the small rowhouse house 5 beavers every 6 units, while the huge barracks 8 beavers every 9 units

The Line is hilarious. It would also turn into a mass death event so, so easily if the water supply were disrupted, etc. I wouldn't live there if you paid me; I'd take the money and move out ASAP.
