I recreated WW2 D-Day in LEGO...

After not seeing a proper recreation of this event I just had to give it a try and here is what I was able to build during 7 months of hard work. Here is my LEGO WW2 "Pointe du Hoc" MOC.
On June 6th Allied soldiers landed in Normandy. D-Day has started and was the beginning of operation Overlord . One of the places they attacked was ”Pointe du Hoc“. Because a lot of huge guns were placed their it was important that the Rangers were successful. They managed to climb the cliffs and control all German Bunkers. Let’s not forget their sacrifice.

I don't see anyone translating what he said about the German Weapons at 3:02, so I'll do it since I happen to speak it. MG zweiundvierzig is an MG42 machine gun. Stahlhelm, which is just the typical German WW2 helmet. Kar Achtundneunzig, which is a Kar 98 bolt action rifle. MP Vierzig is an MP40 submachine gun. Stielhandgranate M Vierundzwanzig, which is a stick hand grenade M 24. Hope that helps. It's also an utterly amazing build, dude!

In my personal opinion, it looks a lot more like the landings that took place on Salerno Italy, then D-Day but that’s just my opinion

Probably my only complaint is the use of Higgins boats as they were not Higgins boat they where LCAs ( landing craft assault ) used by the British sailors who drove the 2nd Ranger Battalion to shore but overall it is pretty accurate and respectful to detail an history and reminds me of call of duty 2 point du hoc mission

During the landings on Normandy the Allie’s suffered a lot their tanks were sinking and barely any tanks got to the beaches except a few and MG fire tore up the men before they could even get out of the Higgins boats even before the ramp dropped men would never make it ashore cause some 150mm guns made their mark on some landing craft as well as some other calibers of artillery
