As a developer seeing him create those sexy design effects like layer blur and everything, makes me wonder these small sleek effects with things going back and positioning perfectly takes me so long to develop as a developer. But coll stuff. I'm now learning designing to gain the better understanding. Maybe I'll create some techniques to achieve those result in a quick and reusable way.

question: I just started working with Figma and thought that everything has to eventually sit inside an auto layout (in order to be perfectly responsive and adjustable). But inside an auto layout, you can't move the stuff freely, so what would be the "right" approach here if you want animations and a clean auto layout setup?

This was relly interesting to me be cause i wanted to see how fast are experienced designers working. 😅 I feel like I am the slowest person ever😂 even thoam using alot of figma shortcuts. I think that for me the slovest part is to figure out what and how to design

speed definitely is something you develop over time, and I already had a good idea of what I wanted to design so the whole iterative process was cut out here ☺️ happy you liked the content!!

Very interesting build, love the speed and no bullshitery loool. honestly i still prefer the original midjourney design. its verry unique as it has a sorta creative legacy tech vibe, its just not something you see everyday especially the scrolling code thingy. I'm just tired of seeing these sorta trendy fade in fade out animations on websites. i might be biased caused i never liked them when they started popping up everywhere and years later i still stand by it. it just seems very unnecessary nd confusing to me.

My dude, I appreciate the effort but the Midjourney website is really good. It's a really clever and unique design. You don't beat that in 19 minutes lol, and depending on your level as a designer, you might not beat it at all, with or without AI. Ironically enough, the design of the Midjourney website is proof that AI is not going to take our jobs any time soon.
@TimGabe
@TimGabe Жыл бұрын
definitely is a good website, and without context and analytics I can’t really speak to the effectiveness of the design. however, I really do believe they could make the actual utility of the tool more immediately apparent ☺️ also, I have to just clarify: this is not an attempt to beat the design, but merely a redesign with a different angle 👌

Do you believe Midjourney and AI will replace UX/UI design? I'm interested in your opinion.
@TimGabe
@TimGabe Жыл бұрын
hey Bruno! I don't think it will replace designers in the sense most people think of "replacing" (i.e. "now we no longer need designers"). I think our roles as designers will change a lot and we will use these tools as just that -- tools. good designers will probably be defined by their creative ability and their ability to learn and adapt quickly!
