I watched to see small sprocket mate with chain on larger sprocket as shown in the thumb nail photo. Never saw in video. Sprockets and gears have very different profiles. A sprocket mating with a chain wrapped another sprocket has teeth from each sprocket trying to go in the same space. Need to cut teeth off the larger sprocket to make a cog drive type device.

That’s a good point! Cutting teeth on the larger sprocket would indeed be necessary to create a functional cog drive. Have you ever tried modifying sprockets for your projects?
