Same bc it’s too unmanageable. I agree my hair is beautiful, I love it, i compliment others with hair like mine. But I can’t deal with it anymore. I can’t even do cute curly hair styles, it’s just too much work. So much shrinkage. I’m gonna try relaxer for my first time soon. When i was younger and straightened my hair I did keratin treatments which worked well to straighten it back then

​@@scarifrogue9716girl dont do that, your hair is beutiful, relaxers are the devil for many reasons. Trust a keratin treatment or wig.

I use a wrap mouse to wrap my hair then I wear a durag or head wrap overnight. The next day I flatiron my hair using a heat protector and that is the only time I use heat. If you wrap your hair every night before bed it stays straight longer.

Man, I wanna relax my hair but I want my hair to be wavy instead of straight. I also have some heat damage so I'm all kinds of scared to do it and then end up having to shave my head 😅

try rinsing the relaxer out sooner; it will only loosen your curl pattern that way instead of straightening it fully

I have 3b/3c hair too and I want to relax so bad because I never wear it natural and I want a straight long bob with curtain bangs, but I’m scared of what it would look like when I don’t straighten it, and if relaxer + straightener would be too much for my hair Btw on the packaging it says not to comb or brush the hair while applying the relaxer !

Today arrived my kit hair relaxer, i have enjoyed my curls for over 6 years but i am little bit tired and many other reasons, climate too i live in a very cold country so i need the hat this winter, tomorrow i will do it, this video has been the most helpful 👍🏼👏

Not necessarily, i already had it straight before i relaxed it, but i would suggest you blow dry it to make it easier and for faster application processing

My mom always had to get my hair blow dryed and straightened so she could relax it and it always turned out great done it for years now so recommend 👍

I would recommend that you do, it makes the application easier and faster. This will guarantee that your relaxer processes evenly and you have the same texture throughout. I would also suggest that you start in the back because the back ( nape of neck) processes slower than the front 😝

It’s hard to say because in the beginning I took more care of my hair, but as time went on I took less care, so it’s not a result of the relaxer but more so me being lazy. My hair has improved loads and is really long and healthy. I plan to do a video soon so you call can see my results x

Hmmm maybe texturizes might be best, as you don’t need the harshness since your hair sounds like it’s more silky? You can then heat train your hair

I wanted a change because I've had curly hair all of my life. For the style that I have, Straightening my curls everyday is very damaging and lot of effort considering my hair reverts easily, so this ensures my straight style lasts longer.

I have 3c hair and you should only relax your full length the first time. When you retouch the hair only relax your roots.

No your curls are gone until you transition out of the relaxer

@@aaliyahp.2406 Unfortunately you will need to wait for your hair to grow out of the relaxer. Then you’ll need to do a big chop to cut off the relaxed ends. Some people don’t like doing the big chop and wait for their hair to grow to a nice length but then I’m afraid you’ll have to deal with straight ends and curly roots. Also to transition your hair you can’t do a relaxer again. It’s your hair so of course do whatever you want sis, but to get your curls back it’s going to take a while 💕

I have virgin natural hair and thinking about relaxing. I have a question for anyone who knows: should you start applying it middle-end-top(roots) or middle-top-end ? The end are the oldest part so the most fragile and the roots heat up faster. So I am really confused about the process 😭(sorry for my grammar, I'm Belgian)
