@Larura Explaura , a very good morning to you our beautiful and dearest wife. It is 5 am here in Europe, I just wake up to use the bathroom and I reached out to my phone and I stumbled on this video. Once I started watching it, I couldn’t stop again until you said bye, honestly I wanted this video to continue without ending. One of the best video ever. You talked about leaving your comfort zone, that is the best experience one can give himself / herself. You can cook all the Nigerian foods you mentioned, amazing! The moment you started singing the Nigerian gospel song goosebumps all over me. Inviting your husband to say something about how far you have come is another good idea. I loved this video, may God continue to bless you and your family.

Lagos doesn't define Nigeria, that's what people don't understand when they come to Nigeria😉there are 36 states in Nigeria with different environment, less population, infrastructure, access to electricity, peoples behavior, food, aggressivenes, quietness, less traffic and many more😁people should try going to more states in Nigeria 🇳🇬 and thanks for your views of our dear country

This is very very true, Vincent! I recently had a “glimpse” of Abuja and was surprised at just how different it is from Lagos! I think a lot of us foreigners come to Lagos and assume it’s the total representation of Nigeria, which now I know is a flawed way of thinking. I love this country and I definitely intend to explore more parts of Nigeria. Thanks for watching!

@@LauraExplaura You are not far from the truth. Lagos contains 10% of Nigeria's population and is much more cosmopolitan than any other city in Nigeria including Abuja. Most Nigerian cities reflects some parts of Lagos, though the intensity may not be up to Lagos. So you are not totally wrong to make assumption with Lagos.

@@LauraExplaura wow. I think that's what most of us do. You know how in Kenya when someone says they are going to coast and they mean Mombasa. Most times we Nairobians are bashed coz of thinking Mombasa is the whole of coast 😂.

My people, Lagos is for making money not living. Most people travel to capital of other countries and they compare Apple vs orange. If you lived in Abuja your perspective would change. Many Nigerians think Lagos is something, Lagos is chaos, lots of money but chaos

It’s totally okay to feel nervous and uncertain the first time before she visits. My husband and his family felt the exact same way before I came. But I’ll tell her that there’s nothing quite like experiencing a different way of life, especially a different African culture. It’s exciting and honestly, you learn and grow a lot from it. Nigerians are naturally very warm and welcoming. I have no doubt she’ll fit right in! 😁

Lagos is little Africa. It represents not only all of the tribes, ethic groups and over 500 distinct groups of peoples and ancestral communities that are complete with their distinct languages, cultures and similarities that make up Nigeria. Lagos is also made up of Africans and a tiny minority of Western experts. It’s a beautiful city that can be best enjoyed during the weekend after all the hustling. Nigeria is the most diverse native African nation in the world. We’ll come to your country sister you are a Nigerian now by the laws of our ancestors. Most Africans started live as one of the peoples that became Nigeria. I am less than 98% Nigerian and I am from a direct descendant of the many dynasties of the imperial bloodlines of the land of Kemet (what stupid Egyptologists call ancient Egypt a colonial Greek name) and still I am from ancient BenIn empire’s imperial polygamous bloodlines and military elite families before my people migrated from BenIn city again. I still have 75% BenIn, Edo and Isan genes and I have 0.5% of many Bantu nations from Cameroon to South Africa doubling back all the way to the ancients mountains of the gods in the Congo and beyond. I might be a Nigerian, I know that my direct ancestors kick started the earliest phase of the Bantu migrations as they explored the whole of Africa in a circle from coast to coast before the North Africans arrived from Asia at the dawn of the last climate change when we abandoned Kemet and North Africa. I am first and foremost a native African. I am only a Nigerian because I came from the ancient first sons of the first sons who must always return to Igodomigodo after any military campaigns or migration attempts to spread out and disperse our population and found civilisation all across African in both directions. DNA tests places a people anywhere his or her ancestors lived if they drank from the waters of the land, mine were in Europe as well as in Italy before the Romans getting coral bids in Sardinia and trading with the then primitive peoples of Europe before the rise of the primitive pre historical Greeks who just arrived in Europe and served my family in Kemet as mercenaries before they were deemed worthy of receiving knowledge. I am genetically related to 95% of the white Royal families and bloodlines of European yet I have no alien dna in me besides African. If only us Africans all do an ancestry dna test, we will unite and stop fighting and restore the civilisation of our ancestors or build our own one to surpass them. We are meant to be a great people and Nigeria will lead the way as touch bearers for Africa. This is why Nigerians are unique as a collective because we are a special ancient peoples, and what lies in our bloodlines as a collective makes us special and chosen. All of the memories and achievements of Africa. I have seen pictures of a few Congolese men who look like my identical twin or relatives and yet they died before I was 10 years of age. We are all Africans either at home or in the diasporas and must be encouraged to explore each other’s country. As from next year I am traveling across Africa from the West when work allows or at a later date. I have 6 countries on my bucket list. I want to experience their village lives, to see the real Africa the land of my ancestors. I want to meet family’s of my ancient relatives. Welcome to Nigeria our wife. Enjoy your stay and thank you very much for your open mind and bravely as hatters say so many nasty things about us when they profile us to force Africans to separate themselves from their biggest country so they can take us all apart piece by piece with relative ease and plunder our resources.

The garri found in Lagos is white. I dislike it, as it's quite sour. Get the yellow garri popular in Niger Delta. It's fried with palm oil to give it the yellow color. It's quite tasty with no sour taste. You will love drinking the yellow one especially with milk and sugar. You can even eat it alone without soup because it is sweet.

Try Switching to Blended organic oats meal instead of eating garri. Organic Oats is lighter and a lot healthier than cassava/garri/fufu. It helps to lower blood sugar levels because it has a low glycemic index (GI) and also helps reduce the risk of heart disease and colon cancer. If you're not keen on eating a particular food. That's alright. It's not disrespectful to explain to your partner that you're not comfortable eating it. I'm sure he will understand.

Kenyans were are just whom you are and Nigerians continue to be whom you are ...it is called diversity....I like calmness in my life, I life in UK and I have tampered all the good things from here. If you want tamper the good things from both countries. I am proud of my original home Kenya and I think in Africa it's the only place I can live....as i will be understood better ..

Facts! Every country is different. Not everything has to be a competition about who or which is better. It’s possible to enjoy and appreciate the best of both worlds. You’re absolutely right, Muchemi!
