Ya know, like how it takes an X amount of time to render projects you made in things like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Unity, & even Blender. Everything U create has to be rendered obviously. Every content creator knows this. It obviously wouldn't take him 70 seconds to render every single frame while he was playing with it after finalizing the project. There are obviously a sh** ton load of games that have insane graphics, even more so than this, & pc's be running it at a stable framerate. Calm down. It's not the 90's or early 2000's anymore. The difference is that none of this is running on a videogame engine, none of those assets are optimized for real-time rendering, and it is not handling any inputs, key animations, or any sort of computations. There is no data to be managed, no checkpoints or collisions. That is why it is possible for one guy to make this as a short 3d video: because it also takes 70 min to render as a video clip.

Sitting there for full 7 days and making new models for a bunch of houses on one screen is a good tempo when you have thousands and have optimisation, for sure. Hate to be the damp sponge here but this guy on his own would have to do a lot to recreate San Andreas _in its entirety_ . And sure, he probably could do it, but he would need a lot of time on his hands since game development also requires fine tuning and refinement and from what I know of San Andreas there was quite a lot of things Rockstar had to fine tune and refine before they could launch the game. I'm not saying Rockstar shouldn't hire him, I'm saying he shouldn't be the _only_ guy that Rockstar hires. Shit, with todays graphics they'll probably need a whole team just to cover the jiggle physics on fat CJ and Big Smoke.

Rockstar won't care. It takes 30 seconds to render 1 frame with the best consumer gpu possible. A game in PC usually runs at 60 fps at least. This means that what the real game can render in 1 second with an average gpu it takes half an hour with a gpu barely anyone owns. That said, the render is pretty.

What this guy is doing is a remake, not a remaster. They are 2 vastly different things and literally can't be compared to eachother. Not saying he didn't do a good remake, it looks nice. But it's still leagues away from what R* are actually doing themselves. A remake is basically recreating a game from scratch. So what you should compare this video to is GTA6 once we get some footage it. A remaster is basically updating the old game with higher definition. I know the style of your channel is to make these quick, poppy, entertaining creation vids, but I really would love to see a longer form video in which you you break down your process a bit more for other aspiring designers. You've got a lot of talent, and I'd love to have seen more about how you textured the houses, created simple things such as the driveway transitions from the road to the sidewalk that break up the standard curbs, ect. Great work!

Imagine if, even a team of only 25 people, each did what you did in the same time it took you to do Grove Street alone. They could have reasonably pulled off the whole game with the much larger timeframe I'm sure they had. Now imagine if Rockstar actually hired a large team to do it and did it right.

The fault with remasters lies solely with Rockstar. They gave limited budget and timeframe to complete the remasters. They set the targets, they did quality checks, they approved the release of the game. The company did the best they could but unless you want them to work 100 hours per week on gas station attendant salary then the result couldnt be better with what rockstar decided to fund.
