Next time try toenail clippers to remove frets! I defretted a bass like that back when I was 17. Doesn't booger up the fretboard.

As a violinist, I looked for a fretless guitar long time. It’s pretty easy to fine fretless bass, but somehow it’s solo guitar are very rare to be fretless. I found Lava Fretless guitar one, but it’s kind of expensive one. So your way to make fretless from a regular guitar is so simple 😅 It’s amazing

if you want a fretless guitar, remove CAREFULLY the frets of your guitar, then fill the holes with same size wood pieces. Be sure that the whole fretboard is 100 % flat.

Don't limit yourself by fear of rejection, keep trying out new things until the world burns away. honestly a fretless guitar that has lines instead of frets would be such a good idea. It'd be more beginner friendly I guess. You'd know where to put your fingers to get the exact standard notes. SICK SONGS LATELY!

I actually bought a fretless guitar a few months ago. I have been practicing like hell on it and came to the conclusion it's definitely not for me. I plan on installing frets on it soon. You killed it I wish I could! When I try to bend a note the string just slides under my fingers, every note/chord I play never seems to be really in tune, I guess getting your fingers in the perfect spot take more practice than I put into it. Sliding up and down on the neck is like butter though, reminds me when I played a fretless bass back in the day. I still have my fretless bass but rarely use it these days.

So I actually make fretless guitars, but we tune them to open tunings and play with a slide. Something to consider is that, in order to get the same note, you want to put your finger (or slide) directly where the fret would be in order to get the same note. If you place your finger in the space between the fret marks, the part of the string that vibrates is a touch longer and will thus produce a slightly lower note. Just from watching the video, it looks like muscle memory kicked in and your finger placement was in between frets. That might have something to do with your intonation troubles.

I have a guitar where the upper frets badly need a fretjob - I just ripped out every fret above the 13th, instead. Fretted licks, and riffs for an octave per string, and fretless for high parts in solos, or for flourishes.
