I Renewed My Original Titanium Apple Card

It’s that time, Apple is now renewing the original Apple Cards that first came out.
It’s such an easy process to renew and to update your Apple Card.
So if you were an early adopter of the original titanium Apple Card, then you can expect both the titanium and Apple Wallet cards to both renew.
Apple is also requesting that you send back the deactivated titanium Apple Card so they can recycle them.

I just received my new card today it comes with envelope so we can send back our old card because of titanium we cant destroy so it has to be recycled

i would imagine renewing the titanium card every 4 years just isn't necessary. you can't see the full card number and it's entirely different from the virtual card number you use online etc. as for returning the old card i believe that's optional but a more environmentally friendly thing to do.

True if you could only use Apple Pay everywhere, unfortunately I found out that I use the physical card just as much as I use the digital card with Apple Pay, so renewing for me is a must. Since the titanium card cannot be shredded like other plastic cards, I suppose it helps that Apple recycles them.

I was an early adaptor and I have replaced my titanium card and that is the only material card I have ever been sent and yes mine still says Goldman Sachs on the back. I have never had to return my old card. I just checked mine and it says good till 2029. I will be looking for the email and see if it shows up for me since I have ordered a new one since I first received my inital card.

Do you HAVE to return the old card, or is it just an option as a way for recycling it?

They automatically sent you a return envelope, so I guess they need you to return the deactivated card.
