NOTIFICATION SQUAD: I still literally have no idea what Uncle Sandal is?! But come on, you know I had the best photo 😎 And so begins our new Journey Across Japan! This time to Okinawa for three awesome episodes introducing the food, the places and the people. A special thanks to Chiaki for letting us into her home to eat food both delicious and horrific. (APOLOGIES for the delay on the release guys I had some copyright issues with the video).

Chris, I don't watch as much as I used to, but I have to say thank you. Because of your videos I came to Japan on the JET programme, have lived here for 5 years, met my wife and lived in the most amazing town/village in Aomori (your videos inspired me to put all Tohoku prefectures down on my application, and I've fallen in love with the people, nature and culture). I had no interest in Japan before seeing your videos, and honestly its almost painfully nostalgic to watch your early videos. They remind me of a History masters student looking for an adventure in the UK and finding out about a place called Hachinohe. Thanks to those videos, that city has been my life for 5 years and I'm currently renovating my small, run down old school's garden as a thank you present to everyone here. You gave Tohoku an english speaking voice and we are all proud and happy for you, what a great 10 years.

@@KimJongunNK I wanted to experience something new and learn a new language before beginning my PhD and dedicating the rest of my life to researching history. If I'm going to spend 50+ years doing research in a university, whats the harm in having an adventure for a few years and picking up loads of new skills? Plus it helped me save money for my Phd. I regret nothing, made friends for life, met my wife, and can now study Japanese history reading the original texts. The question I have is, whats the point in making snide comments on the internet? lol

I've been here 6 months and its been nothing but a positive experience so far (minus banks :D) Made tons of new friends, done so many things that just simply aren't possible in the rural Midwestern US, met a wonderful girl and everyday really does feel like an adventure. So thank you for all the excellent content and insights over the years. Its an honor to drink my coffee every morning in a "For Fucks Sake" mug. Much love and best wishes my man.

When I was in university in 2012, I got interested on what living abroad in japan looks like and Chris 2nd ever video pops out. So I watched it and there i knew apartments don't have bedrooms but what was interesting is how this bloke makes it fun to narrate the story living there by just complaining. Then I got busy, graduated, it's was 2016 and somehow wondered if that guy from 4yrs ago still lives and make videos about Japan. Found out he still did and started following him for a year, the guy went rampage on uploading in 2016. So I sticked till to this day, surprisingly I never got tired from the complaining. Happy anniversary Chris.

Natsuki still eating the hot sauce after having won the challenge is a Boss move. Not letting his friends suffer alone. Man of honour. I guarantee Chris would not have eaten the hot sauce if the option had been presented to him, and expressed delight in their suffering, like some sort of Ryotaro.

Congratulations Chris on 10 years creating some of the best content on KZbin. Should you ever move to Canada, I know that the CBC would hire you on the spot. Watching your videos really feels like watching a well produced television show or short film at the TIFF. I watch your videos on my television because I think that's the only proper way to view them. 🤷 Is this even KZbin? It's too damned good! The amount of garbage on KZbin is astounding, and you stand head and shoulders above everyone else. Congrats again. Cheers, from a lil old lady residing in the Niagara Region 🇨🇦
