As all superhero fans know, the best aspects of a superhero are brought about when they are tested by an equally powerful villain. Mytey needs an archenemy to fight against, and since it was inspired by Castform as Mikey's favorite Pokemon, there really is only one option for it. The evil, nefarious, and oddly floppy Dr. Nip Elz. Think Doc Ock but with uncomfortably sausage-adjacent tendrils that operate from their abdomen instead of its back.

Castform is one of my favourite Hoenn Pokémon and I often add it to my team when I reach the Weather Institute. It might be frail but Weather Ball can do a huge amount of damage. It's probably not very good in competitive battles, but if you're just playing through the story it's a really fun Pokémon to have around. Plus in ORAS you can use it to unlock Tornadus or Thundurus! I've recently been getting into superhero films so Mytey's design and concept appeal to me a lot!

I feel like giving them different personalities would be fun, maybe it's a stretch since they're technically the same pokemon but I feel like it would be cool. For example making the cave mytey being very curious, determined, similar to a cave miner who is hunting down ore would be interesting, and I feel like it would be fast to avoid falling rocks or have good equipment on like the helmet on hailform but for mining!

"Unlocks new forms and then can keep them for later situations" Sounds like a good setup for a classic Legend of Zelda game, or maybe a metroidvania. Obtain new form in dungeon, defeat dungeon with new form, come out with an expanded arsenal. And the dungeon itself it specifically designed so that it's perfect for showing off your new form, but maybe some secrets could be found by going back later. Like, say, a poison dungeon gives you a respirator, but if you swap out for your Super Strength form (and hold your breath!) you'll be able to, i dunno, release the trapped cave gases to clear the place out or something.

I love a lot of the cute Pokémon over the strong ones. Naturally, most of them are not good in battle as a result of them being first stage evos for the most part. Other hot take: I love Zigzagoon WAY more than Bidoof, and I think the gen 4 rodent is overrated to be honest. It doesn’t matter what others think, and there’s more to a Pokémon than how it performs in battle. If you like it, then that’s all that matters. Also loved the video. I can totally see this as a tv show or video game or something. The fact that it unlocks different forms to be used voluntarily in the future is so cool. I can see one episode is a wildfire and Mitey unexpectedly becomes their wildfire form. That is used a few times later in the series. Each episode or every few episodes would be Mitey encountering a new situation where they have to save someone or something and unlocking a new form better equipped for that specific thing.

I like the idea of Mytey reacting to tragic events by turning into an "Empathy Forme" that allows it to feel or sense emotions/thoughts of others and try to uplift them. Change it's goggles to spectacles and give it a stereotypical therapist beard.

an idea for a move for ''Mytey'' is ''Thunder Clap'' for that pokemon meme review video series. it makes the pokemon more interested in meme reviews, so they lower their attack and special attack by 5. it'll be a status move. PP = 20 and it'll be 75% accurate

Side note* . The only weather that came with castform was hail. Cause sunny day, rain dance and sandstorm were introduced in gen 2 and hail and castform him/herself in gen 3. so no it didn't came with sandstorm when introduced. well stupid that the sandform still doesn't exist TwT

I've got some ideas for forms, like when Mytey is in the presence of multiple bugs or Arachnids, like a locust swarm, he could become Spider-Mytey, where he's sticky and has webbing. You probably know it's inspiration... Another one could be steel-type Mytey having shape-shifting abilities, like the terminator,, and it could happen in places like rustyards, big cities, or other places that are metal heavy. But these are just ideas

I doubt I'm gonna be the only one to say this, but I could easily see Mytey as the player character in a video game. The most obvious option for this would be something in the "Metroidvania" style, since that genre already operates by having the player character starting with a base power set, then gaining permanent additions to that power set as certain conditions are met. It could also be done as some form of platformer game, perhaps in a similar vein to either the Mega Man franchise or the Wario Land series.

Personally, I feel how this would work in game is having an ability that first needs the trigger to happen to unlock the form, but then have a move that alouds it to change its form into one it has unlocked from a list. The ability would change with its form. Base form would have Huge Power, Wildfire form would give it Fire moves used by it or its allies a boost, while negating Fire damage from opponents, and Hailstorm form would get Bulletproof. What do you all say?

i loved your fakemon. heres my take on the other forms ideas Mytey base form-Fighting(Super strength,basic superhero power) Fire and hailstorm-mentioned.(Fighting fire and fighting Ice) Thunderstorm form-fighting/electric (Electricity manipulation, to protect people from getting hit by lightning,its like you mix the flash and shazam) Lifeguard From-Fighting Water (Hydrokinesis,it manipulates the water and its oxygen to prevent drowning,it can swim very fast) Wanderer Form-Fighting Ground (Sandman powers,it uses sand powers to travel the dessert and take wanderers to oasis or nearby villages,) Forrest Form-Fighting Grass (its mostly found on forest and jungles,protecting the forests and animals,AND stupid humans that try challenging death on the wilderness,it hates the fire form) Wall-crawler Form-Fighting Bug (It mostly protects people from Poisonous bugs or other dangerous beings like sneks. its mostly found on cities,not forests weirdly) Mountain Dweller Form-Fighting Rock (It saves people from getting trapped by mountain rocks,basically it would prevent 127 hours from happening) Vigilante Form-Fighting Dark (Its basically Batman,and uses the darkness powers to control the shadows.its way more brutal and sometimes its hunted down by the police) Medic Form-Fighting Poison (It's less Combat oriented and mostly found on scientists labs,It creates new types of medicines for the sick and vulnerable.) Phantom Form-Fighting Ghost (It haunts down the wicked and takes care of Nasty ghosts types,Its mischievous and doesn't like being given orders,its a mix of danny phantom and mirio) Knight Form-Fighting Steel (Mostly found on armies,it's main job is to protect people by being a meat shield,it was suspected to exist during medieval times due to its paladin like armor Psychiatric Form-Fighting Psychic (Mostly Found on asylums,It dives into the Patient head to deal t help with the problem,some times the Fakemon can Panic due to the vileness it sees) Everyman Form-Fighting Normal (It's not much of a fighter,but it surprisingly Helpful in everyday things like chores,bills and Anxiety.Some would call it "The best friend Form") It's a bird? It's a Plane? form-Fighting flying (It's mainly helping in containing air pollution and space research. it can sometimes but heads with the Vigilante form,but other times it treats it like his best friend...they're weird) Mystical Form-Fighting Fairy (we don't know much about it,though some given it's more feminine attributes and it's sparkly theme,it's quite popular with young girls.inspired by sailor moon)

Each form should have its own stats like the wildfire form having a high speed stat due to fires spreading quickly, the hail form having a high attack or special attack due to how much hail hurts. They could have their own abilities like the cave form having intimidate due to how scary caves are or storm form having static for obvious reasons

It could also change forms if it is very high up, like a mountain where it can sustain the cold and have some alternate way of breathing because that can be difficult in mountains. Another form could be for if it's very deep underground or in the ocean to make it so it can cope with the extreme pressure.

For the sand/dessert form you should allow mytey to create a sand shell to roll around the desserts just an idea!

I've grown a new appreciation for castform after playing emerald trashlock. The gym leaders use weather moves so much in that game that having forecast is actually really great. Also weather ball becomes a 225 power water/fire move, so that's really good too. And having an ice move against Winona is really useful against her alteria too.

Fanon: A Mytey taps the center of his goggles before a transformation, then the goggles change color before anything else happens. therefore, the goggles would be designed to be recognizable no matter the circumstances, and all forms would have a different color of goggles so anyone can recognize the form that Mytey is in. Horray for the gamer goggles.
