Remember that they changed the rating system in Madden 20. They had a whole different way to progress players (like 2k myplayer, it was lit!), and now lower overalls are more viable as starters. You can start a 68 ovr qb now and be ok. Back then you needed 80+ overall at the starting position. Sheesh if you were a 59 ovr back then, you would not be able to 4 snaps in a row with a break in between each play while not getting cooked at your assignment at least 1 time. It's how they guarantee that not every qb, hb, wr, te, lb, and db were not 99 speed, 99 awareness very early on in the franchise. Also, like 20% of the attribute columns are new compared to back then. I'm pretty sure accel and agility were combined into 1 attribute, and I can't remember if COD was one back, etc.

on madden 25 there are certain rosters you can download that have the old players face scans. the same guy makes all of them so try each one and then check for the face scans that’s how you know if it’s the right one
