I returned to FGO. How's it going so far?

Saw this video pop up when I saw unsigned on YT and had to rush to sign-in for this comment. Some personal tips from a veteran player who plays too many gacha games (fgo/ak/ba/hsr and very recently gbf/limbus... uh, it helps stop me from buying all the full priced games released recently): Point by point: - Skipping event story is a pretty good move for time saving (events tend to be 40% gameplay 60% reading), fgo has a story archive for every event node you have finished (unlike other games for some reason) - Event stories are, in a way, canon to each other. Character stories/jokes established in events tend to carry on to other events as a form of lore (which is gonna be pretty confusing for new players lol) - My advice on the ssr ticket is do not get dupes unless you're absolutely insane about a singular character. As a new player, you're otherwise gonna get a hell of a lot more enjoyment out of the game from having a more expansive roster, and you avoid the despair you get from getting further dupes of permanent characters in the gacha. Hell, valentines events in fgo are one of the few "account progression" events where you get more enjoyment out of it from having a big roster to get valentines scenes from! [Besides, when I got my first tamamo copy I was shocked to find out how bad np1 to np2 is, it's like fucking 500hp and gets worse with each additional copy, you will never notice this difference] - That said, enkidu is the funny clay person who has the reputation of having the long running highest neutral (non-class) damage against enemies in the game, and enables you to play solo in challenge quests (though you're better off borrowing someone else's super maxed out servant for doing solos). Medb is also an interesting pick since she's otherwise story-locked (limited to story banner, which is a bad banner), so otherwise difficult to get. Oh also, we will get a free artoria copy available in 2 years for the fsn anniversary, so you don't need np3. - Try not to random spend until after summer (I know it's difficult). Summer (not to mentioned anniversary servant!) has historically been stacked with both popular meta and popular character picks, and the upcoming one in particular is a hell gauntlet of good banners. Because we have two years worth of banner clairvoyance, people tend to plan out rolls far in advance to the point where fgo na players might only do rolls like 5-6 times a year. You can definitely plan out your gssr rolls for anniversary now based on your roster and who you wanna see.
