I Rode THE SMILER Non-Stop ALL DAY! | Alton Towers

Here's what happened when I attempted to ride 'The Smiler' ride at Alton towers as many times as possible in one day!
Alton Towers is home some of the UK's best and scariest rollercoasters, such as: Oblivion, Nemesis and Wickerman but in todays video I ride nothing but the world record breaking rollercoaster: The Smiler! The Smiler opened at the park in 2013 and goes upside down 14 times! As a result this was quite a painful challenge and made certain members of the group feeling quite sick..!

Man, I felt the pain of Isaac when leaning against that post with that theme tune going on in the background... like a nightmarish dream, totally marmalised :D I once did Nemesis 7 times back to back and that was enough... I could not cope with this, particularly on a Gerstlauer which I think are the worst for vomit-inducingness!

Had 10 rides in one day in March, beautiful weather and walk on all day, the staff were amazing. All the team took extra care in making the restraints as comfortable as possible because I told them about a bad experience I had last year where the restraints got pushed super tight from a ride op and I really hurt my shoulders that put me off the ride. But after getting more rides in on it again and putting that one off behind me can say it's my number 1 ride again, it's brilliant.

Stealth all day might be interesting, queues never really get too long on a school day compared to Smiler. Gotta watch out for the unreliability though 😂😂

Isaac carrying on riding was heroic. You all were insane to take on that challenge. I think at Alton Towers Battle Galleons would be torture by the end of the day. How long will your arms last? How long before you become completely saturated? How long before you give up caring about being sprayed in the face? It would be easy to film you from off ride and capture the full experience.

I did this Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and 3 times yesterday 😂 I usually sit for 10 minutes before getting back on. I’m well equipped with a large smiler bottle and a supply of paracetamol (only had to take one lot the other day and the other days I’ve been fine) and when I need to I go back to magic hq to fill my bottle up so I can go on again. And I’ve been wearing smiler merch all the time. My colleagues think I’m crazy 😂

The maximum amount of times i went on it was 6 times in one day. And that was enough for me. Because i wanted to check out the other rides at this great Theme park. The Smiler is awesome though. My Number 1 favourite ride at Alton Towers. The painkillers are for the Gerstlauer headache called Gerstache. It's not the smoothest of rides even i will admit that one.
