I RUINED Another Diamond Painting.. Testing CHEAP Diamond Painting Craft Kit (yikes!)

Ive done coasters, bookmarks, mini canvases and regular canvases from this brand and I have had no issues with them. I get these mostly because I can pick them up from the store, they are on the cheaper end, and I always wait until I have at least a 30 or 40% off coupon. They were how I got into diamond painting. They don't have the biggest selection but you should try their smaller canvases!! And definitely get a coupon from their website, they almost always have one. Thanks for the great video!! 🌹

I have completed a coaster set by a different brand. Instead of holding the coaster down with my fingers, I just put some putty on the back of the coaster and stuck it down to a plastic box lid. By doing this I could work on the project without touching the glue with my fingers and I could still rotate the coaster as I worked.

Not long ago I bought a diamond painting for 6,99, it was a different brand but still off brand. While it didn't have that many details, it still turned out gorgeous and it probably has the most shiny diamonds of all of the ones I've seen so far :) Actually, I only have four diamond paintings until now, but I feel like it's my favorite of them all, while being the cheapest!

I'm working on the square coasters from this brand and one of mine ripped too because I was trying to readjust my diamonds to line up. The triangles don't line up in a straight line so the diamonds look crooked

Good tip is with the coasters is to put normal glue on it and then its dries and then it has a shiny glint on it

The cork backing are like umm brakes, for friction so the coaster doesn't slide. They are supposed to be smaller so they don't show in the side. I'm currently working on the cottage kit from make market and I'm loving the picture honestly. It is gorgeous! I also got a paint by number and I'm contemplating starting that one~

I really like Make Market, I’ve done 6 or 7, working on the huge beach scene right now! Good luck! The coasters turned out nice! I haven’t tried any coasters of any brand before, I’ve been curious though! (Bummer on the 1st one)

Make market is a great cost saving wat to get into diamond painting without breaking the bank. I have done several of the christmas and regular kits from them and I found rounds are great quality. However, I have done square kits from them and I do not find that the squares look great. They don't fit well, making the painting look horrible. I found better quality from the dollar store.

Well… they turned out really pretty and shiny and you are right about the brand, but when the coaster came off on your finger and was like pushed into a fold nearly I was shocked. I have done other diamond painting things like window decorations and coasters and stickers and I’ve never seen this issue. You did great with what you had though!!!! I wish the sunflower would have worked. It’s my fave 😀💜

I know this is an older video. But did you use any diamond art glue or finisher for the drills to keep them on forever? I bought some glue for finished diamond art projects. But I have not used it yet and am wondering if you have any experience with it? 😊

I'm glad you talked about not using them because they don't work well for the intended purpose, it's why I've always avoided doing coasters and bookmarks. Keychains, yes, but those have actually been fine once sealed. I've not done anything from this brand, I have a kit I haven't done, but I think for a canvas it'll be fine.

🌹I have this kit in my stash and was shocked when some of the glue with white background came off. I'm glad I watched your video because when I start my coasters I'll be extra careful. I also don't think the rendering on the rose looks right and want to change mine to different colors. Not sure how to do that yet! Thank again for the great video. 🥰 P.S. I'm currently diamond painting a dreamer design canvas called Collective Consciousness. It's one of the newer canvas's and the symbol clarity is very nice. 😊

Yeah I didn’t like this brand at all. I got the coasters and yup the same thing happened to me. It didn’t completely tore off but when I tried to use the straightener to straighten the diamonds, it kept tearing the picture underneath.

Just a tip. If you were to seal the coasters you can use them better and you may not have the slipping problem. Also, it adds a sealant on top so that it protects the diamond drills if anything is spilled on it. That may help. These look pretty. I'm sorry about the one that you had an issue with, but the rest of them do look pretty.

@@riahpaigee yay you're welcome ! Don't use modge podge to seal it. The shine will be dimmered. Most other sealers meant for diamond art keeps the shine of the drills though ❤️.

I actually like the Make Market brand. I’m working on a bigger canvas called “Planet Sunset” from them. I like the size you get for the price point. They are on the cheaper end but they still have good quality. I have never done the coasters but I have done the bookmarks and they have held up well. I have also never experienced a rip in any design I’ve worked on before🌹
