I think that the best way to explain how Javier matches go is that Javier begins as Sonja, evolves into Von Bolt and it's then a race to see if he can become Kanbei. Of course the stats are different, but that's pretty much how I feel he must be treated when playing against him.

You've done a great job showcasing why Rachel's power can equalize some absolutely staggering value and unit deficits, the utter importance of Javier's comm towers, and supported it all with some excellent commentary on the merit of your positioning. What's so effective here is we see you "losing" the entire game, behind on income, behind on value, behind on unit count, but because of your sheer confidence in your Super to equalize these aspects, we see you laser focus on that comm tower to the detriment of everything else and we get to watch you turn it all around. Definitely a "banger." Subscribed!

Eh, as far as length goes, I prefer this to something over an hour long, but I think a compromise is good. I watch you, Mangs, Deejus, Go7, and honestly, I find the perfect length of an AWBW replay commentary to be in the ballpark of 45 minutes. An hour or more gets tedious. 30 minutes might be a bit compressed, but honestly, I didn't notice any serious issues with the 30 minute setup. I guess it depends on what you have to say. But yeah, normally 40-45ish works best for me.

I learned first hand how important Javier towers are. I had a similar experience to this game on Darkest Hour in Amariner Cup 2. It was a Javier mirror match. I was down 6,000 income, about 40,000 unit value, and one of my bases was blocked by a tank, but I got both comm towers and was able to come back quickly and decisively and win from that position in about 5 turns.

Great video! The possibility for unique CO matchups like this, is one reason why I think HF is underrated. Also, I might be playing against Jokas in DC12 R3. So it's cool to see a match of his being broken down by a skilled player.

High Funds maps can trivialize unit value over attack and defense, doubly for Javier since his power relies on it. Rachael is kind of a buy 3 get 1 Sturm though. I love escalation to Megatank and Stealth bomber matches too since they are rarer.

I see you've exposed a free like button. I think I'll see my neo there and one shot it, then see a couple b-copters to threaten your comments section with my thoughts. ;) This game was simply crazy. I understood from the start that Javier relied on the towers, but being able to break the enemy's army in half with an eco advantage and STILL lose? It feels nothing short of staggering. When you were going in for the capture, was it still risky? You mentioned the two neos and I can't help but wonder if with a little restraint, he could've capitalized on his advantages and brute force through the missile trio, barely saving his tower in the process

I really enjoyed this. It flows nicely, you cover every relevant part of the match up and don't get bogged down in the more minute details of every movement. It's a unique way of covering Adv Wars games that still fully fleshes out the strategy and tactics you're discussing w/out eating a 1/4th of my day.

Early build would be risky since you get swamped on other front. But building one in mid game once your properties are secure sounds pretty good!

Good video, and good videos overall. I think there's an ideal balance to be struck between your current style and the older approach that you did, but what you're doing right now is generally a big improvement. I will say this though - the little animatic "Subscribe!" thingy near the beginning of the video = yuck. Really a cheap thing, not at all in line with your quality of content. I've subscribed anyway but that did temporarily put me off.
