@@AQS521 2002, and pretty good. The guy thought the gearbox was shot, but it was just the front sprocket coming off. Beat up and plastidipped fairings, and needs handlebar switches and a bit of wiring stuff, but other than that it's a steal

Carbon fiber looks great but composites are expensive. Most of the aftermarket is add on with very little actual replAcement. Many times you are replacing plastic, which is light anyway, with another plastic like material but stronger. Replacing the aluminum frame with a full carbon frame. Now that would be GREAT. You could save 30-50 pounds plus lower center of gravity!!!.

This channel was great for Years, the bike was perfect when you went through the trouble to find one available on that day, the carbon story just ruined it all and i honestly feel making a video about a total 2LB total weight loss that made the bike look horrible was not worth making. Surely your family is more important than this. I'm sure the helmet set up will take more interest, above and beyond this still a great channel and nice guy but totally think the this was all a big mistake.

Yeah can see what you mean, but it's also a cool experiment paid for by the manufacturer of these parts. He can go back to stock if he wants or just leave some choice pieces on the bike. Totally agree that it wouldn't be worth spending your own money on though.

Can I please ask if the carbon belly pan bolted straight on using existing bolts? As I’m onto my second belly pan from Ilmberger as the first one was damaged and the second the holes for the bolts are smaller than the shoulder of the bolts. Did you have to file or drill the holes? As your video it looks like all bolts go straight in??

Remember that if you are going to paint, I am afraid that the weight of the paint will equalize the weight that you have removed. Now I do not know how much you think to paint, but if the goal is to have a weight loss ... So you should keep the bike as it is. But it look badass! :D

Just watched your vid about getting a 1000cc. My first time being in a bike dealership and the guy said he wouldn't sell me a liter bike because I haven't owned a bike yet. FeelsBadMan.
