+1 to the other commenters who said that you should play however you want, screw anybody trying to hate on you for it! This series has been very entertaining so far (and if you need a carry for a hard mission or another color palette, hmu lol). Some spoiler-free tips: -The goal of a survival mission is mostly to kill enemies as quickly as possible, since they’ll drop mini-life support capsules that are crucial to keeping the mission alive. You only really need to use one of the tower things if life support is below 50-60%, since they replenish a lot of life support all at once and you only get one every couple minutes. You’ll get a reward every 5 minutes you stay in the mission, but you can leave anytime you want after the first one. Enemies will get progressively harder as the mission goes on. -Relays (Strata at Earth, Larunda at Mercury, there’s a couple others later on) are safe “hub” areas where you can go to interact with various friendly NPCs, mostly vendors. You can also practice mastery tests there, or try out the terrible PVP mode if you enjoy suffering -If you enjoy the lore/story of this game at all, AVOID SPOILERS. Seriously, you have barely even gotten started on the main storyline and it is amazing to experience blind -Consider joining or starting a clan soon! That’ll give you access to a whole bunch of things like weapon and Warframe blueprints, trading stuff with other players, and a spaceship-battle game mode

0:24 Alright, quick evaluation of your mods: 1: Nothing wrong with slapping on everything you have for starters. In the long term, I'd say ditch the lightning rod (none of the elemental resist mods are really worth it) in favour of freeing up space and capacity so you can upgrade your more important mods. 2: You'll want a so-called Aura mod. These go in the top left slot of your warframe (the one that has a symbol that looks like a person with a bunch of circles around it). Aura mods don't only buff yourself but your entire team, and quite importantly: Rather than use up modding capacity like normal mods do, they increase it. So if you have an upgraded Aura mod on your build, you can fit either more, or more heavily upgraded normal mods into it. You're easiest way of getting an Aura mod is from the Nightwave, which is like a battle-pass kind of system. Completing certain challenges will level your Nightwave and occasionally reward you with so-called Nightwave Cred, which are a currency that can be spent in the "Nightwave Offerings" shop. The shops inventory changes once a week, but it does have some evergreens that are always available and it will always offer a few Aura Mods. I don't know from the back of my head which ones are on offer this week, but the ones you may wanna prioritize if you see them are: Rejuvenation (health regeneration, useful for staying alive early on) Energy Syphon (energy regeneration, always useful) Steel Charge (Bonus melee damage, offers a higher bonus to mod capacity) Aura mods cost only 20 nightwave cred each, so if you have completed even just the first level of Nightwave, you can easily afford one. 3: It's better to upgrade all of your important mods little for little rather than just pumping all the Endo and Credits you have into just one. The reason for that is that when you upgrade mods, the effect from upgrading is linear (for instance, you get an additional 5% ability strength for each Rank of the Intensify mod) but the cost to upgrade increases exponentially (for example: The first upgrade to your Intensify mod will set you back 30 Endo, the second costs 60 Endo, the third 120 Endo, the fourth 240 Endo and the fith and final upgrade to that mod costs 480 Endo). So the higher the upgrade level of a mod, the less bang you get for your buck, relatively speaking. This also means that upgrading two mods from rank zero to rank four costs a simular amount to upgrading a single mod from rank 4 to rank 5. So this early on, it's better to upgrade a lot of things by just a few levels instead of upgrading just one mod as far as it will go. OK, quick note on the mods on your Braton: 1: For now, I'd recommend you just ignore any mod that specifically increases impact, puncture or slash damage. These only have a few niche applications in the late game and don't increase your overall damage by much. So give that Rupture Mod the boot. 2: Throw on that "Stormbringer" mod. It is a source of elemental damage and therefore stacks multiplicatively with your other damage increases. For reference: Your Braton has a base damage of 24. Your Rupture mod increases only the impact damage on your weapon by 15%. The Braton has 7.92 impact damage, so this mod increases your impact damage to 7.92 x 1.15 = 9,108 or in other words: It only nets you about 2 extra points of damage. This raises your base damage to about 26, which then gets multiplied by 75% from your Rank 4 Serration, resulting in 44.1 damage. Now, if you remove the Rupture and throw on your Stormbringer mod instead, you are getting electricity damage equal to 15% of the base damage. So, that's 3.6 electricity damage, which increases your damage to 27.6, this also gets the 75% damage boost from your serration mod so you end up with 48.3 damage. If you used neither Rupture nor Stormbringer and just had Serration, you'd be dealing 42 damage. So even though both say 15%, Stormbringer gives you three times as much bonus damage as Rupture because it is based on the overall damage of your weapon whereas Rupture is based only on your impact damage, which is only about a third of your damage with this weapon. Additionally, because your Braton now inflicts electricity damage, you have a chance of causing electricity status effects which can deal some good damage over time. 3: Quick note on faction damage mods such as Bane of Corpus: These are very good and also scale multiplicatively with other damage increases. However, they only apply their damage increase to enemies of a specific faction, so if you are using them, you'll want to swap them out depending on what mission you are going on, which can be annoying. 4: More of a general note than something relevant to your Braton: Always try to play to the strengths of your weapon rather than trying to compensate for the weaknesses. If a weapon has good critical hit chance and a good critical multiplier, throw on crit mods. If a weapon has good status chance, give it status mods and try to add or increase damage types that have good status effects. Due to it all being multiplicative percentage increases, you get much more value out of increasing an already high number than trying to bring a lackluster number up to snuff.

Just a small tip, any time the green exit indicator shows up, that means you have completed the mission and can safely leave, via the exit. You can stay longer, on endless missions such as defence, survival, etc, you will get better rewards the longer you stay. Endless missions have a reward loot table, based on rotation, the first 2 rewards will be from loot table A, later rewards could be from loot table B, or C. The wiki has a list of all of the loot table rewards, depending on the type of mission you are doing. Staying longer in endless missions will spawn stronger enemies as time goes by, so be careful. If, as an example, you do a survival mission for 20 mins, you will earn a reward every 5 mins, and that reward will be shown on screen, the reward rotation for survival is AABC, repeating, so for 20 mins you would earn 2 rewards from loot table A, and 1 each from B and C, then the rewards would restart the loop. Most endless missions have their own seperate loot tables, and some endless missions have a different loot rotation, but the wiki is your friend. :)

Hey so about your MR as well (Mastery Ranking): -You won't level up your player if u DON'T do the test so please do then whenever you get the chance. BUT. Look at the bottom right of screen when u press on the test cos u can do a practice test. As if u fail Actual test, u need to wait 24hrs before doing it again. Yep it sucks. About Mods: -As you will learn soon you can mix and match and upgrade mods. You can combine different elemental mods to do specific elemental damage (cold + toxin = viral damage for example I believe). And I know it can be a bit of a drag, but when u equip mods, u can look to left of page at the stats shown, hover over it, and it shows what damage to enemies its better at dealing. Your Abilities: -Yay your using them more. For example here a 20:40 a good way to handle situations ur getting gangbanged is by - flashing them with 2, then dealing wide group area damage with 3 to heavily weaken or kill them. Works better against Grineer as they have armour not shields.

Not sure if anyone mentioned but what you were confused on around 1:45 at the hand in the mission you will find out about that later on as you progress thru a quest. I don't remember if the quest is optional or not. As for when you said you can not go past mercury in the beginning if it wasn't said going on earth you have the option to do a junction to a planet that's above it. I would suggest even though they suck maxing out the mk1 weapons then doing whatever with them to get the mastery rank points from them. Once a weapon is fully mastered you don't get anymore points for it even if you get it again. Eventually you will get parazon mods as well that you can equip a max of three at once if you have not gotten any yet. It's been a few years since I started from the beginning so it's being very enjoyable watching you play from the beginning.

I thought I already had it and just kept searching for the maxed out one. You will come across this more often with things like nightwave(battle pass) and syndicates

There are more than just the heat status effect. There are also Cold, Electric, and Toxin. Certain elements do more damage to certain enemies(or factions). U can also combine these elements for unique elements. Ofc your have the ips status effects, being Impact,Puncture, and Slash. Hovering over your weapon stats will give a slight explanation on what they do and which enemies they affect more

Remember, you can use elemental mods for damage bonuses against enemies. Combining elemental mods is very powerful because they turn into new elements which deal much more damage.

Glad to see you're still going on, and I might pop by the stream if I'm not busy, so hope to see you there. There are PLENTY more pet types than just Kubrows (including 'Taxon' which I highly recommend you build as I think you should have the blueprint now. It's a little floating sentinel whose weapon is a freeze ray) so be prepared to have to decide which one you prefer when you unlock them. As some others were saying as well: Jackal drops a frame known as 'Rhino' whose specter you fought. They're widely considered to be the tankiest and most well made frame in the game. (His kit has been basically the same for like... 5+ years and he's STILL relevant.) If you want a new frame to try and tinker with, go ahead and grab him. It takes 12 hours to craft the 3 base parts you get from the boss, and then the main blueprint (from... the market?) takes 3 days, so be prepared for the wait. This is the same for almost every frame in the game, so it's good to get used to it early. Otherwise... Good color set, and good luck with the stream, in case I don't show up.

yo wsg bro.Glad ur havin fun. pro(ish) tip : its around this time in the game ur gonna want to start lookin to craft other weapons and frames. i reccommend joining a clan(or form your own) as you can get blueprints for some really good weapons for ur level also i reccommend opening all gifts off camera and deleting / selling stuff you dont want. as i think opening gifts boost exp for ur level. and you gotta get that mastery rank :) Anyways have fun another funny vid as always :)

on this episode of cookie crumb clues left in comment sections, i'll go over damage types, health types and status effects with a bonus section for pets and weapon types. for this one, you could probably just go to the wiki if you want, but it might not have it in a new player-friendly and digestible way. as if i won't whip out, like, a 7K word essay on accident. - damage types are fairly straightforward. there's physical damage, usually shortened to "IPS" standing for the three types; Impact, Puncture, and Slash. Impact does more damage to shields (blue health, or purple health if they have overshields) but less to armor (yellow health), puncture does more damage to armor but less to shields, and slash does more to flesh (red health). there's also four elements, being Toxin, Electricity, Cold and Heat, and by combining two of them, you get "tier 2" elemental types. toxin damage, as far as i'm aware, directly bypasses all shields independent of the status proc. this, of course, makes it better against shielded enemies. electricity damage will also just deal directly more damage to shields. heat will deal more to armor, and cold... i think also does more to armor. as for tier 2 elements, there's magnetic (cold plus electricity) which does more to shields, viral (cold plus toxin) that kicks the ass of flesh health, blast (cold plus heat) whichi i think also does more to shields, corrosive (electricity plus toxin) which does more to at least one of the three armor types, radiation (electricity plus heat) which deals more damage to at least one of the other two armor types, and Gas (toxin plus heat) which does more damage to... i think the armor on the infested enemies? there's also "void damage", seen in the warframe Xaku, but also something else i hope nobody spoils you for because it's genuinely a really awesome story beat. just keep an eye out for the quest called "The Second Dream". Void damage is typically better against overguard, and to an enemy you'll only meet once you get to Uranus. - status effects are a little different, and a little more confusing because of how they stack. Impact will stagger enemies, and give them a higher health threshold at which you can do a parazon finisher ("mercy kill" as denoted by the red arrow above their heads). Puncture will decrease the critical hit threshold (i.e. instead of needing 100% crit chance to guarantee a crit, you'll only need X amount less). Slash will deal "true damage" over time, and is generally one of the better DoT status effects. or maybe not, i don't really use toxin or gas. Toxin does standard DoT, and Heat does DoT as well as a "temporary" armor reduction (denoted by the fullness of the shield icon next to the enemy's health bar) that goes away once the status expires. Electricity stuns the target and does pissall damage to the affected enemy and those nearby, and cold status will slow enemies and increase the critical damage dealt to them. Magnetic status will allow you to deal more damage to shields per status inflicted, up to 10 or so. i think it's the same multiplier as Viral is for health and armor, being somewhere in the realm of 3x damage i think? anyway Viral is the same but for health. Radiation will cause a "confusion" effect that causes enemies to deal friendly fire, with each subsequent stack up to the cap increasing the damage they deal, which isn't that useful since it still relies on enemy AI, save for the fact it draws aggro away from you. Blast will stagger enemies, and isn't usually that good. i think it sometimes knocks enemies down? idk. corrosive will permanently armor strip targets, being 50% of the current value, meaning unless you use certain mechanics (being the jolly ranchers i mentioned in a different comment, or the Hydroid warframe dropped by Vay Hek on Earth), you can't fully strip armor with just corrosive. the last of the moddable status effects is gas, which is just a cloud that deals toxin damage to things caught inside. i've heard it can be pretty good, but i don't use it so idk. Void status makes a tiny, tiny mag bubble that causes bullets to seek toward the point of impact that procced the status effect- meaning if you get a void proc on a headshot, there's a very, very good chance all your hits in that bubble will be headshots. - there's a few health types, and while i don't remember most of them because i haven't needed to, you can find them easily on the wiki, or in the in-game codex feature. you're able to scan individual enemies to get all the info on them, but if that sounds tedious, don't worry- you can get a robot homie (named Helios) that automatically scans anything you don't already have fully scanned. and if that sounds expensive for buying scanners nonstop, don't worry, since you can buy a special type of scanner from the vendor unlocked by the "The New Strange" quest, and by gaining standing with him, unlock an upgrade that makes those scanners infinite ("sol charge scanner widget" or something). anyway, there's typically only 6 or 7 health types. there's raw, fleshy health, seen in red, shields in blue, overshields in purple, overguard in a pale blue surrounding the healthbar, and at least three types of armor- ferrite, rubedo, and infested. ferrite takes more damage from corrosive, but rubedo takes more damage from radiation. i never bothered remembering which is which, so it depends on why you're modding a specific weapon. higher health targets typically have rubedo armor, but the grunts have ferrite, so build accordingly. or don't. it's a power fantasy game that actually holds that above the cinematics and melodramatic storytelling (COUGH COUGH BUNGIE) KZbin wouldn't let me post the whole thing in one go so i'll comment to this comment with the other half

- there's a few types of pets, so i'll keep it as straightforward as possible. Dogs in space are called Kubrows, and they look diabolically ugly yet adorable at the same time. there are a few different breeds, one of them being an infested variant, but kubrows aren't typically able to keep up with standard issue content in the game. you can get them with an incubator core, an egg from smashing dens on Earth and a few days' time. cats in space are called kavats, and to breed them, you need to scan them and then use an incubator core as with kubrows. the mission gave you a free core, but the rest need Argon, the only time-limited resource that disappears within 3 or so days and only drops from select "planets" in the game, namely the Void. you can unlock the first Void nodes from Phobos, the moon on Mars. as for kavat scans, you can find them in the wild (usually invisible) on the standard mission nodes on Deimos, or as i did it, in the Sands of Inaros quest obtained from Baro, who i guess i have to explain now. in a different bullet point. Kavats have four breeds, but one of them is more like a mutation obtained by the feral kavats in the Plains of Eidolon at night. they're vampires and i forget if you can get genetic code from them. anyway, the best kavat for new players is the Smeeta kavat, since it has an RNG ability that gives various random effects, one of which doubling pretty much all valid incoming resources. XP ("affinity")? Argon Crystals? void traces? credits? all of it. pretty neat. there are also pureblood infested pets you can get from the open world on Deimos, which are... like... foxes and panthers or something (Predasites and Vulpaphyla), but they're not RNG on the breed front like the un-infested biological pets are. the rest of the pets are robotic, ranging from Moas (the two legged Corpus robots), sentinels, and even higher-tech four-legged robo dogs you get from an endgame nemesis activity. the moas and robodogs ("hounds") are modular, which is a recurring theme for a lot of content in Warframe, but they only give mastery for one specific part of the modular item- for hounds, it's the "core", and for moas, it's... well, still a core. just keep in mind that, just with everything else you can level up, all pets give mastery until you've gotten one to level 30. - there are tons of weapon types, but for the purposes of specific mods, there's the guns that can be separated into 5 categories, and melee, which have... like... 17. Primary weapons can include sniper rifles, shotguns, rifles and bows, and in the case of shotguns, have their own set of mods. rifles, snipers and bows share standard rifle mods, but have specific mods that only apply to the specific weapon type; bows can have something like the Split Flights mod, and snipers can have something like a mod that increases the headshot damage multiplier while scoped in. secondaries are pretty much always their own gig, be it a pistol, throwing kunai (kunai is the name of a weapon, but also the class of throwing daggers that are in the secondary slot) or weird laser thing or even a wrist-mounted radiactive slate launcher (called the Epitaph if that sounds cool). as for melee, there's... a lot. swords, dual swords, daggers, dual daggers, nikanas (just katanas), dual nikanas, tonfa, whips, whip blades, hammers, heavy blades (claymores), claws, fists, sparring weapons, glaives (they're called that but they're actually throwing bladed boomerangs???), polearms (actual glaives), staves, heavy scythes, scythes, and a few more i haven't mentioned. like i said, a lot. they each have their own gimmicks and stats, like hammers having a 12x (?) multiplier on back finishers, or claws having a 30x multiplier on grounded finishers, or glaives being able to be thrown, the Ghoulsaw being a rideable sawblade, and that's not to mention individual weapons having gimmicks, like the Wolf Sledge, my favorite melee weapon that's just a throwable, full-size hammer. - since i promised, Baro is what i like to call "worse Xur". he comes every other weekend, starting on friday at morning reset (9 am pst?) and leaving on sunday reset (i think it's, like, 4 pm PST?) on a random "relay" (player hub), but he brings a LOT of stuff. mostly cosmetic, but it ranges from decorations for your orbiter, to weapons from past events, baro-specific weapons with a "prisma" prefix, ephemeras, primed mods and more. what's more, most stuff he sells can be traded between players, too. there's a whole subsection of players who very likely get their platinum by farming relics, opening them and selling the drops for "ducats" (at a terminal near where Baro spawns in the relay), and just brokering Baro goods to players when he hasn't sold them in a while. He should be here next week, since he was just here yesterday i think? this was a longer one, but i hope it's helpful nonetheless. i just like writing and i like helping people, so i figured i'd go for it in case you or even someone else reads these. fun fact, i actually started writing this, like, 7 hours ago but left to go grocery shopping lmao

Unless you get the mod from a bundle or it’s a special mod(you’ll see what I mean later into the game) you won’t get it fully upgraded. So what happened is normally when shown a mod in the game and from other sources they show it fully upgraded so you can see what the mod will be at max rank instead of just rank 0.

It really reminds me how much this game has changed since 2016 One thing to note is not every system is explained well, but most veteran players are glad to explain things to newcomers and they're is also lots of wiki entries you can read if you get stuck (the wiki was my best friend during my early game)

5:53 no reason except to look cool at this point. _but later on,_ a lot of heavy enemies might become pretty tanky without the right kit to punch through them, and so they can usually be mercy finishered to be killed quickly once they get to a moderate health threshold, Elemental Eximus enemies can also be mercy/parazon finisher'd, which is a great way to kill them quickly, since they'll often be pretty chunky foes. Later you can get mods for the parazon. Usually hacking mods from spy vaults or mercy mods from some bosses (you may need to check wiki on whats available and from where). But the parazon finishers can provide buffs or effects when doing them. such as Blinding enemies nearby when you do one. Or giving a gauranteed health drop, giving a 50% chance of energy drop, or instantly reloading both your weapons. It's quite a useful thing, that a lot of people sleep on cause it "takes too long" or "isn't worth it". Another benefit is that when you're under fire and your shields are out, the animation of the finishers, mercy finishers included, are invulnerable. So they can give you a moment to let your shields start coming back or help you avoid some attacks if you see an opportunity to use the i-frames to phase through stuff. 9:00 what. you finished it. it was finished. you survived long enough. extraction was open on the map. DID YOU NOT SEE IT?! :V rip your 10 minutes.

Just an FYI about Warframe's graphics that you've probably notices. The game is graphically very varied as some older tilesets haven't gotten a visual update in many years. Game is over 10 years old, which means 10, and in some parts the game does show it's age. The devs to their best to update and rework older tilesets, but it's understandable hard to keep everything up to par with how much new content they add. But when the game looks good the game looks GOOD, better then some AAA games out there.

There is a FAST TRAVEL thing when in sector or cetus like that... granum crowns are later on when a random enemy spawns holding a "crown" and you can use that on the big hand or free the captured under some secret part of corpus ships xoris is the weapon needed inside the dimension in the hand...its a story quest

Soon you'll get access to the Deadlock Protocol. I recommend playing it as soon as you can. It's a fun quest and rewards you with really good weapon that will carry you through the rest of the game.

Not sure if you’ve know, but you actually take 75% reduced damage during your roll animation, Meaning if you have something like fire or electricity on you, you can roll at the right time to greatly reduce the damage.

Building a warframe takes around 3 days to complete in the foundry and also the flash in this game is called gauss and he has a prime version

If you Open your menu you can go to your equipment and at the very bottom it says orbiter and if you click on orbiter appearance you can reduce the wear & tear of your ship to make it look cleaner

When you get the opportunity, do the daily endo mission. Try to get Blind Rage and max it out, It'll give you lots of strength with less efficiency. I can't stress this enough...get Rhino/Rhino Prime, he's the best tank boi and will carry you to end-game.

It's worth noting Whenever the game gives you a mod (unless it's from a mission completion screen), it will always show you that mod fully ranked up But to my knowledge, the game doesn't ever actually give you fully ranked mods. That 11 drain Molten Impact is actually only 6 drain, which is likely why you couldn't find it

to get a new warframe you have to find the parts and craft them together, you get rhino's parts by fighting the jackle

the jackel drops the parts blueprints for the rhino frame (you then buy the main blueprint from the market) a very good frame that stays good even to the current endgame content. His abilities are also really simple and his ability to tank damage well makes him a really good wepons platform frame.

OK, it's good that you went in and used up all your mod space, you even upgraded your Serration mod, which is even better. Now you just need to understand that equipping a couple of heavily-upgraded mods is better than equipping a bunch of pointless unranked ones and you're golden (Vitality and Rediraction, which increase HP and shield, are the usual starting place for Warframes- remove the Lightning Rod to make space for them is my suggestion). You're doing fine.
