I Saw A GHOST Last Night-Original Animation [Meme?]

: Haven’t done an actual animation video since my Sans vs. Frisk Animation (which had a few complaints here and there, but I listened to the critism and I personally feel like I’ve improved since then!) This animation is a bit more personal to me because I’ve never really shared my Original Characters with anyone (let alone the entire Internet) and I feel excited and anxious! The animation took me about 5 months, including A LOT of procrastination. It was difficult for me to work on/finish it at first just because I felt a lack of motivation or hope for it. I don’t know… but I’m glad I did! It was meant to be finished before Halloween, but life stuff came up, so yeah... CHRISTMAS. Everything is frame by frame (no tweening), done with Photoshop and TV Paint (great program by the way). The backgrounds was a challenge, I’m still not sure if it fits with my style :3

This, this right here is one of the reasons I'm now at college studying for my degree in animation. I have watched this thing since 2019 when it came out and it still leaves me in awe when I see it now. This was the video I put in my assignment for why I want to animate and that still holds true today. It even inspired to write a fantasy story of my own (The Grimsong) I cannot describe how much I love this animation and the second one in the "series"? You know when something is this complicated I refuse to believe is an animation meme. There is just so much going on and is as if is an independent animation. The backgrounds are incredible, I really appreciate when people draw them because it always gives the animation more life,it makes it stand out. Not only that but the characters actually show emotions and the best part they are not too exaggerated. It feels very natural. Something else that I can't believe is that you made stupendous art for things that pretty much lasted one frame to our eyes and even then it was beautiful. When I looked up animation memes today I was not expecting to find such jewel on my first click.

I love how in the beginning it was slow, setting up the kinda typical spooky atmosphere filled with mystery. Then after the two characters meet, it transitions to them sitting together but something isn’t right. You see the white haired man mouth some words and the expression the boy gives. Then at the end, there’s flashes of backstory between them and their memories almost. You also don’t see what happens in the forest from the beginning but only see a symbolic picture of the white haired man. Now I’m left with just curiosity and inspiration because not fully knowing the story allows someone to think and wonder. And that’s spectacular storytelling and animation. ohh, now I have a theory. The child and adult characters traveled to this place in some sort of jungle to find a temple-like place. The temple has magical characteristics (for example how the statues moved and the vines closed in on them). The older character traded something from the boy (his life or soul??) for immortality of some sort, explaining the last scene. This also helps clarify why they're both scared/nervous; the boy, because he will die or lose his soul, and the man because he feels remorse. Idk if I'm right, but I just wanted to put this out there. :^)

1:40 I'm guessing this part means "Look At yourself..Look at what you've become/Did!" 1:45 how they shattered/took/stole something important? 1:47 how the white haired guy took the mother's son and when doing something or probably going through the process of the "plan" the son died, because then again her possibly son is a ghost who seems to be in limbo, as in he's still on Earth due to something that happened 1:50 he thinks of a plan but it fails horribly, resulting in the death of the child. 1:58 he's trying to escape but get's caught and killed or dies by Something? 1:59 a possible sacrifice alter? 2:00 a flower stained with that of someone else's blood, possibly the kid's blood also in the background you can see the kid who is a statue, it looks as if he was trying to run from someone or something. 2:06 he's stuck in a loop of guilt, he did something that accidentally killed the kid and he feels bad/Guilty, it feels as if someone stabbed him in the back

The end gives me this feeling that perhaps the albino guy is immortal and is being haunted by an old friend who had died in some way? Or perhaps he murdered the ginger boy and now he can't escape the guilt of his actions therefore he develops the illusion of said boys ghost chasing him. Why is this character just like my OC Kochi? XD I’m not claiming theft it’s just a funny coincidence! He looks almost the exact same and he can see ghosts! For an oc this is my favorite animation by a creator this year the level of detail how it brings a certain amount of confusion but also be little bit obviousness for the viewer. I don't know what the story might truly be but this was just wow✨ spectrum and I hope the creator knows that their hard work is definitely paying off keep doing wonderful work!
