I find woodlands photography such a challenge. In my area, as a temperate rainforest, the understory is so busy it feels nearly impossible to find clean compositions, as you noted. You really found some great conditions though!

That was a close call with the drone! 😮 It must have lost GPS signal?

As one other suggested , its probably the empty battery and too high max height in the return to home function. Luckerly it didnt cash and fall down as it was one of my first outings..👍

Beautiful film, I really like it! Regarding the drone behaving strangely, could it have been that it started to run out of battery and activated RTH (return to home) and it then flew up to the height you entered in the app?

Thank you very. Yes it was during RTH. I will check the height settings....it was nearly the end of that drone. 😬
