Great reading man, I am only starting my journey in true faith and I can certainly relate to Gideon in his unbelief. I feel that GOD knew Gideon's faith, yet Gideon lacked the courage to trust in himself, reflecting that doubt onto the Lord. Oddly enough, it seems the magnitude of miracle that the Lord performs to fill our faith is equal to the amount of doubt we have in such miracle. If we are able to trust in the Lord with little then we may also trust in him with the unbelievable. If we don't trust the Lord with little then no matter the magnitude of miracle we will always have doubt. I must learn to trust GOD with even the everyday mundane problems, so when it comes time for me to believe the unbelievable my faith will not waver. GOD bless brother.

I don’t think asking for signs is a good idea. What can be perceived as a sign to do something can end up being from someone or something other than God. Jesus said a wicked and adulterous generation looks for them. I think we have enough evidence compared to those in the Old Testament who had no idea about Jesus. Not only that but we also have the Holy Spirit. A sign is unnecessary but God can do what he wants ultimately. God bless
