I'm not even in the military but I come here to listen 'cause this cadence is deeply moving and spiritual. I've been working 12 and 16-hour days. It's you guys that inspire me to continue chasing my dreams of being a Marine, just like my dad. He fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He's still alive, and he's a Chief Warrant Officer five. It's the training you guys go through that keeps you alive in combat. Maybe not all, but that's what we're all here for, to fight and give our life for this country when necessary. Seeing the things you Marines have done is what made me choose the Marine Corps as my favorite branch. Remember, Semper Fi.

Depending on who does the cadence, I have heard the white, and green. But I dont remember it word for word. The one NCO I had that would sing dressed in white, would then turn around and go into another cadence about a soldier laying dead in the mud. 🤷♂️

I’m a navy sailors daughter. I can’t explain how hard it is without my dad. I was pretty young when he went out on deployment and never came back. I didn’t learn till later in life that he had actually died. I never forgave my family. Keeping it from me for all those years and not telling me. Never bringing him up. Whenever I tried to bring up fond memories or ask, I just got scolded over and over again. I miss my father so much to this day…

Hell yeah brother! Not US Army, but I’m former Canadian Forces of 12 years. 2 years Infantry with the Royal Wpg Rifles and 10 as a combat engineer with 31ES/38CER. I liked this too! My Grandfather was Canadian Forces WWI. He was a tanker. Have pictures of him in front of 3 tanks and one, in full uniform, with a buddy we've never ID'd. Gramps was from Terrace British Columbia. The family immigrated to USA-FL, 1926. We always visited family in Canada. Two of Gramps' daughter were US Army. One son killed WWII, tanker. 3 granddaughters military. 2 Marines and one Army. I'm a Woman Marine, 65-68. This song/cadence reminds me of my active duty time too! A family called to serve! And, we became better stronger people for it!🇺🇸

@@freedomloverusa3030 as an Iraq vet I'm sure you will change your beliefs about it being the best decision ever, at this point there's nothing I can say that will be stronger than your military indoctrination will enforce upon you because I remember those days. I used to believe 9/11 was done by the taliban then I learned it was our own gov from other soldiers. Iraqi people are nicer and better people than Americans is what I learned in Iraq, they weren't the bad guys... we were 😔 I have come to find the God of the Bible is the real truth and repent of wanting to kill Iraqis but suffer ptsd and hate what an a-hole I am cuz the army

I am new to your channel. I love your style of music. I thank you and all past and present soldiers, cooks, right down to the office workers that served our Country. God bless you sir for protecting our Country. My dad was an air plane mechanic in WWII. My uncle ( my dads brother) died in WWII. I have 4 out of 8 uncles who served, and a few cousins. One ofm y cousins was in the Navy Seals. He is retired now. I went to go enlist, but I had a bad case of arthritis. Thank you all who served.
