I've been water cooling since 2000. I've never even thought of air cooling my gaming pc. Cooling a 13900k on air is damn near impossible. My video card can pump 600 watts of heat. I'd say water is needed
@igttgit11 ай бұрын
@@nando03012009 During the turbulent 10s I had top of the range K processor with watercooling but then realised that it just wasn't worth it. There were always problems while being on the bleeding edge of tech, overheating, crashing, unstable clocks etc. In 2018 I "upgraded" to a mid-range i5, gtx1070 and have never needed more since. Next upgrade will keep the same specs but with greater power efficiency and grater stability
@DarkSession620811 ай бұрын
@@nando03012009 Agree, if someone gets a 12900 or 13900k and thinks it runs well without thermal throttling on Air hes delusional. I have NHD14 Chromax Black and Assassin III which are the strongest Aircoolers money can buy. A 12900k is twofold too much for those coolers. 90+ Degrees and its consitent with tests from review sites. Those chips are impossible to cool on air and dont have evenhave remotely the possible performance that intel claims. If you can't get proper watercooling get a AMD chip. Period.
@Shadowninja120011 ай бұрын
@@nando03012009 Sure if you got top end hardware that will suck up so much watts that it need to be watercooled to work. Intel's cpus can run crazy hot but as far as i'm aware nvidia's 4090 coolers are overbuilt from what I have seen people say of it despite kicking out 400-500 watts. Then you gotta consider use case: if you're gaming then water cooling is probably never going to be needed unless you're overclocking the snot out of these hardware (which isn't much these days because they're already pushed to the limit). Most games are never going to push modern hardware hard enough to overwhelm a decent air cooler like a noctua d15 or a thermalright peerless assassin (what I have). People just seem to run water cooling if they're doing a sff pc or they're aiming for quiet operation at least that's the vibe i get with every water cooling videos i see outside of this channel.

One thing I want to point out having recently needed to sell on Ebay to survive between jobs: A lot more of your money went to Ebay vs. the seller than they’re showing. They straight up lie about the quality of shipping you’re paying for, but if the seller tries to bypass this and get you a good shipping option, Ebay will hold their money a month longer for getting you nice shipping. By the time I was done selling my last tube amp (worth $900 new) I barely made $50 off it. Sellers aren’t ripping you off or being as nefarious as it may seem. Really rough platform.

Do you know any alternative platforms for reselling tech online? Besides Amazon/Newegg
@Nabee_H11 ай бұрын
I sold on ebay in order to make money/save up for my first PC (refurbished foot massagers back in 2018) and I probably could've kept selling if it hadn't been for me already having built my PC and ebay being the WORSE platform ever. Everything is easy to do and the process of getting your shipping label is easy as well but I would always be on edge because in the event of a customer claiming they never got something its 50/50 on whether or not ebay actually sides with you. The countless stories I would hear from people. It's as if ebay treats you like a seller on Amazon with the way they side with customers and treat their sellers like garbage. I stopped selling with them after a supposed error in my package weight that resulted in a 12 dollar charge by the shipping company. When I asked ebay and told them that the package couldn't have been a different weight because I had sold multiple of the same product they told me there was nothing they could do. They hold your money as well so they just yank it before you even have the chance to receive your OWN money.

It had this sofisticated weird fan controls that you could set to maximum, medium and low, and also control for yourself, which, I think it's cool by today standards. Ended up losing like 3-4 day, literally every second of those days, barely eating and sleeping to get the right cables (so many) through the right places and holes in my HAF 922 case. Sadly, used the fan control maybe 10 times for the 6 years I used it. Remember till this day, Zalman CNPS 10X Extreme, for the time, it was also a beautiful cooler.
