You should have taken the quiz about if it was a Bath & Body Works scent or a My Little Pony character. I wonder if there would be any that were actually both. But I'm not going to go to that website, certainly not after that TMNT stinger, that was just weird.

I think there are several different spelling variations on griffon. Griffon, griffin, gyphon. Not sure which is correct, but I've seen all three used.

griffon is a breed of dog. Griffin is the mythical creature. Gryphon is a brand name used by a singer.

"gryphon" probably came from the latin spelling (gryphus). They're spelling the same sounds anyway.
