I’m so happy for you. You are very lucky to experience that type of moment with your loved ones. I decided to learn how to solve a Rubik’s Cube to show my mom when health started getting worse. She ended up passing away 2 years ago this October 30th from Dementia. I never got to show her one solve because of her very fast decline of mental health. I really enjoy watching these special moments you have with your family it’s something to be cherished.

hey tingman this video is so wholesome, i tried to teach my dad how to solve the rubiks cube many time as me myself being a sub 15 solver but he always gave up because he couldnt get his mind around it, its amazing to see how even your children have taught your mother to solve the cube, also sidenote can you please premiere these videos like you used to do before i really liked that and its fun watching it with other people while talking about it in the chat

I have seen multiple parents compete in Rubik's cube competitions. It is always amazing to see everyone compete no matter what soeed they are. Everyone is always so welcoming to people no matter what speed they are and always congragulate people on their times.

Glad your mum was such a good sport! In Australia, do you get to select your judges? Your family gets to judge each other quite often (unless solves where your family is judging and competing are more likely to be put in your videos). At the comps I have attended, there are a few times where people have picked their judges, but most of the time we get assigned to who is most convenient (among those available).

It was my mum who got me into cubing. She had the original Rubik's cube in the 80s and could solve in 3 minutes using corners-first method.
