Plus, he was stationed in Germany. Even if you don't have insurance, medical treatment is relatively cheap here. I went to a hospital, because my heart was suddenly racing, and I had to pay €60 for an ECG and check up out of pocket, and 60€ later for blood tests, because I left my insurance card at home. Insurance companies repay costs like that, but even then It's not that much.

I learned the hard way that sometimes it’s best to be quiet and not associate with the delusional person. I told one of my friends the truth about a scammer and he turned all of our friends against me, started a smear campaign to trash my name, and a bunch of other crap that took time tog etc over because of how vile it was. So take it from me. Some people cannot handle the truth, and even if they know deep down that they are being scammed, they would rather trash their friend than be honest.

I’m happy the team goes about the investigations this way because they are providing them with more evidence that they need to charge the scammers with identity theft. I was a military brat and then joined the Army when I was 18. You ALWAYS get paid (unless you have fines, valid garnishment orders, etc). And really, even if your pay was held up, the military provides everything for you. You DEFINITELY wouldn’t have to scrounge for money for medicine. I was surprised when some quite handsome and younger musician(personal weakness) guys were actually really themselves. I kind of got shy all of the sudden. But yes there are plenty of scammers who use model pics or steal someone's pics and info. My profile got copied on IG and it had a link to a fake adult entertainment page with a phishing form. If people give their bank info and address, they will get used for further scams or to open accounts. Plus it can ruin someone's reputation if for example some employer sees it. It had my selfie with someone else's backside wiggling in the background. I took contact to the page provider and on IG got help from friends to report that account. It was very uncomfortable because some people actually thought it was me.

I am 50 years old, I have run out of how many of these types that have approached me and I have such a laugh with them as soon as they ask you to move to chat rooms where they can get your phone number. I actually ask them upright what does a vogue model want with a grandma of four and how much money do they want lol, it hilarious! Have a laugh but never ever move of a site that gives any personal formation. I literally end up winding them right up then blocking them I love it. If it seems to good to be true, It usually is! Men who like that don’t go for grandmas or older ladies, sorry to burst any bubbles x

Was it really a scam?? She spent thousands of dollars, yes, but she got the romance that she was looking for. It caused her a lot of money, but she got what she wanted. The issue is not the scammer, but it's her desire to seek a relationship. no matter how much its cost.

@@janepappas8990 A few decades ago, there was a movie called Pretty Woman by julia roberts. She was paid for a fake relationship. It was a lot of money, but she reciprocated back. It was a movie so it ended up like a fairy tale. In this case, the woman got what she wanted, but of course, it's real life. If it was a movie, it would prolly ended up like, pretty woman. So she got what she paid for. And as far as capitalism is concern, price of a service rendered is subjective. You may pay big or you may pay less, but if u agreed to the amount, and you got what you wanted, then the transaction is complete!

The small amount of money she gave for his “medicine” in the beginning was a test to see if she would give money. 🤦🏽‍♀️ and then over time it’s more money because emotions are involved.

This has a lot to do with people keeping themselves ignorant. Just because she was never in the military does not mean she needs to be ignorant of how the military works. She also knew nothing about the gift cards. She didn't question anything. It's amazing she lived this long.

I was at a dance before the internet and there was this nice looking guy who came over to our table and asked us if we would give him money for cigarettes and it was no no no. Later we saw another woman give him the money and he was all over her and she looked happy about it. Retro-scamming.

@@OreliaLatrice I guess you've never heard the phrase, "I'm surprised she lived this long". It just means that she's not very smart and it's amazing that she managed to keep herself alive with all the ignorance and not knowing how life works. For instance, how did she manage to survive this long by not doing things like putting her fingers in an electric socket, watching a TV with it plugged in while she's taking a bath, etc.
