I Got An UNBEATABLE Score On The New Quest! BTD6 / Bloons TD 6 - the 39.0 update comes with 3 new quests, one of which challenges your game knowledge with a limited number of tiers to beat geared! For myself however the goal isn't just to win, but by how much we can beat this score...

I did this challenge with the Dark Champion as well but I had a much harder time actually getting there because I didn't know many of the small optimisations you did and overspent a lot on my "hold till darkshift" defense. I used a couple 3-0-2 boomers. I did not get 13 tiers of course, more like 50. Hey - at least I thought of Darkshift being op here.

I think I have enough game knowledge to follow along, but these challenges would help a lot because while I'm familiar with much of the mechanics I'm not well practiced in using them and the quests make it easy to get targeted practice with specific heroes/skills/techniques.

I went the phoenix route and it used way more tiers. I did think of using dark knight but I assumed it would be hard to keep it in a good range. I didn't know about the teleport bug though.

@@Max-mx5zl isab showed in the video that on geared, if you activate dark knight's teleport before the gear moves, you can then click somewhere far away from where the monkey was moved to, based on where they were before it moved.

It’s the same strategy but without the range upgrades on the super. Because those upgrades normally give pierce, it’s a little harder on 63 but overall a similar challenge.

Well that and the factor the UCAV does not last for all of R63. You can manage the missing waves with a Drone Swarm to get a heightened defense for all the ceram waves but sometimes it isn't enough because of the sheer amount of RBE there is.

That's the same strategy I used, but my dark champion actually leaked and I lost. (Yes, the Dark Champion leaked. I thought it would be an auto-win, but apparently it isn't.) Though, instead of a wizard, I used a 203 Dark Knight for the camo leads. Also used a dart monkey for early game, so I was behind by a number of tiers. When I lost, I didn't feel like putting that much effort into it again, so I did a Dark Champion again, but with two banana farms, and a bunch of boomerangs, finishing on exactly 80 tiers.

That "Grow Less than Galaxili" is brutal not because of the tier restriction, but the map Geared. Despite it being ranked as an Advanced map, its gimmick makes it Expert tier.

Geared isn't normally that hard. The gimmick is rough, but there's tons of tower space with no sight restriction, so you can normally just use long range towers from the mid game on. The main thing that makes the quest hard is that almost all the towers you would normally use are banned, and you have Obyn, one of the worst heroes for the map.

I think the only potential to maybe get an better score is to not use 1 or both range upgrades on the SM, even tho it would likely make this even with one less upgrade brutal and with 2 maybe Impossible.

The primary expertise is available and solos the vast majority of rounds up to 80 with global range, but maybe it’s too much money to save

My first thoughts were 5-0-0 village and 0-0-3 super monkey but 0-0-3 doesn't get the money to level into 0-0-4, and 5-0-0 has no good prior upgrades. 4-0-0 wizard is good too but has too much downtime. I always overthink the minimum tier challenges. It really doesn't seem possible to beat without 3 towers. You can have pretty good uptime with just 2 towers (obyn+regular tower) but obyn can't even last long enough to buy dark champion.
