re 32:27 - These videos are even more confidence-inspiring than the old FIXME roulette series, which was still good but maybe not as approachable for newcomers. From what I remember, when I did my own searches for TODOs and FIXMEs in Serenity, the ones I found were often not the "easy" or "beginner" tasks that I had hoped. I think in many cases, those comments are made when the original developer knows it is out of scope for their goal, and/or it will be a lot of extra work. In comparison, fixing broken tests from a third party seems a lot more approachable

I *LOVE* your thumbnails, Andreas! They haven't failed to put a smile on my face yet, and I suspect they never will. Thank you for bringing this series back - many of us really appreciate it a lot! :^)

So happy that you’re back doing videos ❤ I have one request though as a mobile only viewer and I’m almost ashamed to bring it up. I see you have a new computer and the aspect ratio of the videos is more square than it used to be. I need to pinch zoom the videos a bit to be able to read the code. And when I do on these new videos, more of the screen is outside my viewport. Any chance you could tweak that a bit?

The patience to keep oneself calm while discovering things like at 8:24 is what's needed to deal with the HTML spec in depth haha

that was "easy" haha love those insight on history haah also, totally forgot that we can pass functions as string. I guess I don't do that since IE6 times

Andreas, what AI are you using for code completion? Is it the Jetbrains' that runs locally?

"commit discipline" thats a new BS term that somebody who doesnt have deadlines uses
@awesomekling2 күн бұрын
Cleanliness is next to Godliness :^)
@Diamonddrake2 күн бұрын
"commit discipline" comes from the actual "git-scm" project's contribution guide lines. "Make separate commits for logically separate changes. ... It is a good discipline." aka commit discipline.
