One of the reasons that I love estate sales is that I get to see inside old homes. I love seeing the floor plans, things like built-ins, staircases, mantels, cabinetry, flooring, light fixtures etc…

What an amazing array of beautiful things. Estate sales make me sad, however, especially when you see an entire lifetime of treasured memories and prized collections spread out for sale.

I absolutely love estate sales like this. Even though I can rarely afford to buy anything at them I treat them like museums and just wander around appreciating everything the owners had collected over the years.

I looked up Joel Bergman Las Vegas Architect, and I found that Joel David Bergman, was born August 20, 1936 and died of natural causes on August 24, 2016. At that time he was survived by his wife, Valentina, and several children and grandchildren. His four sons are Leonard, George, Valentin and Ivan; his daughters Alessandra and Lori; and his grandchildren at the time of his death in 2016 were, Daryl, Marissa, Nicolle, Lucas, Daniel and Remington.

Passed just days after his birthday..these are the best yet saddest type of sales, what others left behind

@@deboramccallum3987 When my husband of 50 years got home on hospice, as was his final wish, I was in the other room as the wonderful hospice nurse was tending to him. I looked around at all he had brought into our home, artwork, furniture, etc., not a lot, but nice. Suddenly it hit me: he can't take any of these things with him. The Bible tells us to not love the things of this world but the things of God which we both did and I still do. For those in Christ, being with God is our forever home.

You're a very special lady and I enjoy watching all your videos 😊!
@juliedavis5609Ай бұрын
I have watched your videos for several years and enjoy your interests as they align with mine usually, however, this one I couldn't finish as your envy of the "rich" was just too much. I will continue to watch and hopefully enjoy your content for a long time. Thank you for helping me pass my time as I'm a disabled older person who shops vicariously through KZbin. May all your days be blessed.
@TheNICHELadyАй бұрын
Envy of the rich? Not sure why you interpreted it that way. I don't have envy.... I have awe, appreciation and even inspiration but not Envy that is a victim mindset emotion.
@juliedavis5609Ай бұрын
First off, I don't understand your "victim mindset". Envy means having a longing for what others have, there is nothing "victim" about it. You expressed the envy throughout your video starting with the title alone and then continuing with all the ooh's and aww's, even stating at one point that "I wish I had money to spend on these things...." You even had to state how much the bottles of booze are worth. Just so you know, it goes beyond admiration when you continuously point out even the "goodies", like a handrail, while in the bathroom. I hope you don't feel as if I'm being disrespectful as I'm only expressing my interpretation of what you're saying and putting out to the world. I'm only one opinion and you can easily disregard this comment if you'd like to.
@TheNICHELadyАй бұрын
Envy implies jealousy to me. It implies I will never be able to have these things. Please also realize I am a content creator that has to make videos that appeal to a wide audience in order to get views. The title has to draw people in, this one did. It doesn't mean I am a person who is all about material things. Implying I wish I had the money to buy some of those things for myself, I'm not sure why that is a bad thing, who wouldn't feel that way if they see things they love but are responsible about their finances? Handrail in the bathroom had nothing to do with wealth and just the design and characteristics of a very unique house! I think you misinterpretted me on this one. Obviously I didn't disregard your comment! I care what other people think about me, which I'm told is a bad thing, but it's who I am and I don't like to be interpretted as something I definitely am not!

I really enjoyed first sale. I started to go/play in Vegas I the late 70’s at age 18. lol they never checked my id because I wasn’t drinking. Vegas was in my back door coming from Big Bear Lake, Ca. All of that sent chills of excitement seeing artifacts from the Golden Nugget. Now retired living in North Az and with your guidance, I have started reselling part time. I do Vegas auctions a couple of times a yr and load up. So wishing I could preview those auctions. With saying that, there are some great ones that measure the items but some don’t. I just wish 1 time I could spend a few thousand and flip for that great margin. I thank you for teaching me how to be a reseller. ❤

My step grandfather owned a Frank Lloyd Wright house... He had made a deal with the state to let him live there til he passed, as they were buying up land for some project... His son had ten days to clean the house out, and it was large, and they bull dozed it down... I was only 18, I knew nothing of Frank Lloyd Wright back then, just remember him talking to my parents about the architect... Now, I see these houses all over the Internet... It's remarkable how much I remember of how his house looked...
